What would you do?

By: Gianfranco | June 12th, 2007

If you were the Milan brass and you were going to make a big push for a striker would you go for Eto, Drogba, or TH14 Mr. Thierry Henry.

I am big time Drogba fan myself, but I would like to see what other Milan fans have in mind. These fellas are all a possibility and when old man Galliani swings by the site he can check who we want, so his decision is much more educated. Inter fans need not make suggestions because we do not want Recoba…no one does.

Mate i just have to say that i pretty much applaud every post you write. I’m from australia and its quite hard to get info on the comings and goings of the club and you seem to know where to look for the goods. Hats off to you.

I used to say that Henry would be a great player, cept that he’s french and plays for arsenal. If we can lure him to Milan then I could forgive him for being french.

    Forever Milan

    Joe

There is just so much bad blood between the Azzurri and Les Blues…it is hard to forgive.

Drogba would probably fit in best since he’s the biggest cheat of the three, though he isn’t really into handballs. Maybe you guys should go after Messi.

The bad blood may be there, but not towards Henry, he’s never done anything for france…ah let the chuckles roll on.

i think openly calling etoo is just a ploy by galliani and co. to get ronaldinho.

barcelona fans are tired of ronaldinho, but they still are in love with etoo. theres a bigger chance of ronaldinho leaving the club than etoo…

Thats true it is Trez that is truly despised, and lets not forget Zizou. Isn’t it weird that both players played for Juve…

Intersting point Shehan, Milan would look a bit foolish if niether player made the move. Eto is not having and Ronaldinho may hang around as well.

I’m not exactly sure what’s happening in West Ham, but there’s transfer talk surrounding young Carlos Tevez, and if I were an AC Milan Poobah I’d be baiting him in any way possible.

The young Argentine first caught my attention when accomplishing the unthinkable: an ex-Boca Argentine named on the staunchly national Brazilian club Corinthians. For the ‘Timao’ to let an Argentine infiltrate their ranks was truly suprising. And though he was met with initial disdain, by the end of 2005 he was the team captain, much favoured by team and fans alike and was awarded further by the Brazilian football federation.

He was a crucial element in Argentina’s stunning world cup play, and despite all of the scandals he saved Westham virtually single footedly, so to speak.

There are quite a few rumours that the Hammers used him to bail themselves out of relegation, and want to promptly sell him now that they’ve made their “Great Escape.” There’s speculation about his going to Inter, but if I were AC I would start throwing out every form of bait imaginable to bring him in.

In fact, given his age (23), his drive, and his versatility, I would even take him over Henry. It might take him some time to adjust to AC’s formations, and Kaka may not be so found being set next to, or even behind the young Argentine phenom, (is there only room in AC for one of Souh America’s finest?) but the upsides to the aquisition are hard to even imagine. He’s aggresive on the ball, has a magnetic Messi-like ability to keep the ball at his feet, and can play wing or forward equally well, and is an instinctive goal scorer. Imagine Ancelotti going back to the 4-3-1-2 with Kaka feeding Tevez (left) and Inzaghi (right): read massive Italian devastation.

Furthermore, though I’m not a big Serie A fan, I hate Inter and it would be a shame to see Tevez go there. Of course, ultimately I’d prefer to see Teves playing at the Bernabeu, but Madrid’s looking to find replacements for Beckham, Carlos, and to generally strengthen the defense (I keep hearing about Heinze’s iminant arrival).

Depending on how things turn out, we might also lose Emerson to… who was it? That team that won the 07 Champions League? Oh, right, AC Milan; as far as I’m concerned you can have him. But I’m rambling now. My main point:

The Argentine, Galliani, go for the Argentine.

RealJohn you have a great point on Tevez but it looks as though the bid from Inter is going to go through and it is going to be very high. I am a little bit upset that Milan have shown little interest in Tevez whom I think is a phenomonal player, I also think that his Messi like talent would work quite well in the Ancellotti system. The problem is that Milan have a relationship with Brazil and Inter with Argentina, it would be hard for Tevez to dismiss a chance to play with NINE! fellow countrymen. I agree but it seems a bit unlikely, great point though.
