We Forgot Something…

By: Gianfranco | August 14th, 2008

We can talk all day about Dinho, Kaka, and Pato, but we forget the guy that makes this team tick. When the best fantasista in the World is on his game, their is no one like this man…

OK I get it now, Robbie Williams actually covered Manu Chao, I thought the french part was a whole other song. Robbie Williams is much better, lot more funk, but the Manu Chao is good too…

Viva is actually the CL song isnt it?

I don’t think I’ve ever heard the Robbie Williams cover, should give it a go. And not sure about Viva, you might be right though. A lot of Bond’s material has a tendency to randomly show up in football…Their song “Samba” was used for Euro 08 goal celebrations.

A non-suspended Pirlo=European Championship for Italy despite having no functioning attack options. Andrea Pirlo is a football genius whose true worth will never be fully appreciated. I will continue to record every single game he plays in and watch them over and over because he plays the game like no other. He is at his best when he has a couple of bulldogs at his side and I think that Gattuso’s poor run of form last year (from playing a gazillion international and club matches) hurt Andrea’s game. However, this year with Flamini and (hopefully) an in-form Rino flanking him and with Pato/Dinho/Kaka up front we are really going to see something special from #21. I can’t wait.

I just hope he (Pirlo) is not as tired as last season. Towards the end he looked sleepier than ever. They are overworking him and under paying him!

Agree with Nina.. The guy should not play in unimportant matches like Italian Cup matches because those just make him tired.. That’s why you need depth, which I’m pretty impressed at in the midfield.. Pirlo rest, Seedorf can go back.. or Emerson can come on.. Nice options in the middle..

when i saw the title of the post, GF, i thought the rest was going to be….our minds!
great video - and i dont think any true milan fan can ever forget him, remember how nuts we went when the rumours over his transfer started? (not that we dont on all runours but he is something special) - for me, there are some players who epitomise the current milan and he is #2 behind il capitano
pray that he feels better this season

Pirlo had glimpses of brillance last year by was like most of the team off his game for the most part.

This pre-season he hasn’t been bad…but IMO he hasn’t stood out either. And I agree with you Pirlo is SUPER important…but with him in the line-up we haven’t won a pre-season game.

Take off Pirlo & stick in R80 the way he’s playing (and its not even top form) might we have beaten Man City? Just asking.

Also I think pre-season training must start a little earlier for us, as it takes our team a little longer than most get in to full gear. I’m hopeful that when we get Kaka, R10, Boriello, & Pato we’ll be on point!

But there is no magic switch you don’t normally go from a winless pre-season to tearing up the Serie “A” in first few games of the season.

BTW Gianfranco, You commented that you coach and are on you way to getting your FIFA licence. WAY TO GO!!! I hope your able to pay some dues and land a nice coaching job. TFC maybe?!?!? Don’t stop writing 4 Milan on this blog when you make it BIG!!

I am far off from my FIFA license, but when it is all said done I will be US Soccer Association certifed and will be steering a premier team in CT. So it is exciting, I just hope I find the time and desire to pass the NCAA exam and subsquently the FifPro license, but that is a long way off…

Mourinho did it by 28 years old, I am 25…

One step at a time Gianfranco…you’ll make it to the level you want to be at.
Don’t rush it either…take your time to smell the roses & enjoy every step along the way.

I played college ball (basketball) and got injured at a critical time in my pursuit to play professionally.

It sucked…but like you I wish I could have had a few years playing professionally. Even playing top ball in Europe would have been fine!!

Don’t worry Gianfranco we’re destined for greater things.

All the best and keep us posted on your progress!

    FORZA MILAN!!!

i thought Galliani officially went crazy when he said he’d swap the uefa for the scudetto. but after reading the full quote….i would do the exact samething lol

“I ask that if we abandon the Scudetto, could we win the UEFA Cup final in Istanbul, removing Inter in the quarters”

Inter eliminated in the CL go to UEFA and eliminated by us. and even better, if Liverpool goes to UEFA final and istanbul all over again but different outcome.

Galliani is making me sick…The dislike I have for that man is so great its on the verge of hate. He needs to let us, the fans, know that he’s taking action instead of letting us see the outcomes of these games and then just keep denying there is any problem. *stomps foot on the floor* I’m ready to go rearrange our dear friends face in a minute.
