Maybe Milan should hearken to the old days and start playing a 3-man backline alongside a “libero”.

But seriously, we have just sold 2 centrebacks and lost another 2 to injury (one of which is very serious). Milan has to make a CB signing or integrate a youth player ASAP. Unless Ambrosini is seriously going to be our starting CB (please god no).

K, from my understanding of the game your CB’s will typically mark your strikers so if you have two strikers than you are working 2 CBs to be covering at all times. If you have one striker than one CB marks while the other “floats” depending on the CB this may mean staying back or attacking the next person with the ball in a central position. A player like Kaka and Dinho when in an advanced position pull a CB to them if need be, but a centralized DM may take the role if needed as well. The bottome line is working over CB’s to tire them out and force them out of position to create scoring and passing lanes for Dinho and Kaka…

Just heard the news about the Ivanovics deal falling thru!

NOT HAPPY!!!!

We need to find someone decent soon and its not looking likely.

If, as i suspect, Galliani turns round in 10days time and says that we are fine as we are then……………(suggestions?)

yea sucks that Ivanovic deal has stalled.. maybe there’s someone better?

Milan have no option but to get a new defender.. it just HAS to happen.. Digao, Simic OUT and Nesta injured.. ughh.. what more do you need to get a defender?

Thiago Silva did pretty well last Brazil game.. Hope we can get him..

gianfranco, i think this whole alone up front has really been over played… kaka at times plays so advanced that he might as well be a second striker… the same goes for ronaldinho… and the attention that they get by opposing defenders pretty much gives our lone striker plenty of space in and around the box… plus with service from world class players like kaka and dinho, the lone striker is going to have the ball on a plate…

I know Milan has a good amount of Italians, but their Brazilianness is well known too. KaPaRo? I was excited to see Borriello up front, even if I don’t think he’ll succeed there.
