Throw a little wood on the fire
By: Gianfranco | May 29th, 2007The Milan vs. Inter feud wages on with Gattuso calling for a meeting of captains to square things away. I think the language barrier would be a problem seeing that Inter’s captain is not from around here. Moratti and company also called for Inter to field more National team starters and when Donadoni named his squad, there was only Inter man to the Milanista five. That man was Materazzi who has earned folk hero status since the World Cup and may better used as forward, seeing that he had more goals this season than Adriano.
Congrats to Pippo, Ambro, Gattuso, Pirlo, and Oddo for the call up and also the former Milan man, Abbiatti. I hope they all play part in the upcoming games for the Azzurri.

And now Del Piero is getting involved, too. Clearly these people need more to do.

I don’t know how you could say there would be a langue barrier?!?! Il Capitano has been at Inter for over 10 years which in this day and age is unheard of and one day will have his jersey retired, so I’m pretty sure his Italian is up to par. Milan should be ashamed of the whole banner episode, if something like that ever happened over here in the States it would be all over the talk radio shows and newspapers for weeks. Ambrosini I could see, but Oddo??? He was lucky he even got to play in the Champions League. Thank God Ronaldo was cup tied, because I wouldnt have been able to watch him lift the cup. I’ll be patiently awaiting the derby next year..hopefully la lega schedules it early in the season and hopefully inter sweeps it again! FORZA INTER

How was Oddo luck to play in the CL? He played in all of their games and starts in Serie A. Oh, and he was on the World Cup winning squad. To say he was lucky to play in the CL is just pure ignorance.

Chris..what I meant by lucky is that he joined them in the Jan transfer window, therefore he never played in any of the group games. He’s lucky he played for Lazio last year and that they didn’t qualify for the Champions League thus being able to play for Milan unlike Ronaldo who was cup tied, thats all I meant by being lucky, he had no right in holding that banner, having only played the knockout rounds.
