Dave, im trying not to swear here because im not a regular to Gianfranco’s page and i don’t want it to be a reflection on him, but insulting my Milan is like insulting my family allora vaff’anculo! If you don’t like us, don’t come here, maybe you would feel more comfortable with those schifi Interisti, they sound more your type- i.e. Stupid and an utter waste of space.

Relax Antonio!!! Just a simple observation, thats all. Didn’t mean to bring your family into it :) For the record, I’m a disgruntled Inter fan mele419.

    Dave,

what you failed to notice was that Napoli did have eleven men for 40mins and were pinned back for at least half of that time, and that the red card was a direct result of that Milan ascendency in the first half.

lots of inconsisitent play yday tho…pato was the most obvious, after a great gamee last week, he was terrible and how he missed that header one will never know…
kaka and seedorf have decided to alternate and play these days…if one makes an effort, the other disappears…
dinhio saved his performance thanks to that free kick (even if it was an own goal finally) but otherwise, he was pretty iffy as well…dont think he deliberately injured santacroce tho
rino, janku and bonera were really good…bonera is shaping up well as compared to his last season, once senderos and nesta are back, cbs should not be a problem any longer
any idea why capitano was not playing yday?

wondering – does pato play better when he plays from the start of the match? maybe that helps him build confidence instead of coming in as a sub late in the game?

So freakin happy with the win. We need to absolutely get Santacroce next year. He can replace Maldini. Oh thank god for 1st place. Next 5 league games are easy(lecce, chievo, catania, palermo, torino). We need full points, bcos after that is going to get screwing.

goal.com is pretty harsh at the ratings for Napoli.

    They gave Cannavaro a 6!! I would give him a 9.

Milan have no chance of the Scudetto,Dave? Lol. We had a centreback partnership of Bonera and Favalli(!!!!!) and we didnt concede. And you think our defense becomes weak when Nesta,Maldini or Kaladze play?

really hope for boriello to start putting the ball in the net now – he’s worked very hard in all the matches he has played but is unable to score –
also, out of our 15 goals scored, only 5 have come from the strikers – inzaghi 2, pato 2, boriello 1 – the rest from mids (kaka 3, dinhio 3, seedorf 1, ambro 1) and 1 from zambro – i dont know if that means that the mid and the strikers are not linking up as well as they should, maybe that is why boriello is not scoring at the rate he was at genoa? what do u guys think?

Boriello is doing a lot of hardwork which has allowed Kaka to flourish. I think he will slowly start scoring more. i dont expect more than 10 to 15 goals from him though.
Disappointed with Pato. He played well against siena. He has to improve his finishing to remain a staring player.

He started off badly by giving the ball away on his first touch and then that miss knocked the stuffing out of him. Thereafter he wasn’t even looking for the ball.

He played well against Sampdoria, he played well against Siena and he was duly awarded with being subbed and then benched.

Dave as it stands right now, our chances at the scudetto are a bit more clearer than yours. Neil Hamsik’s poor game was a product of Rino’s tough play. Many non-Milan fans are claiming Rino fould to much, but his style pf play is to disrupt and when he is he gets as much as he gives and thats whats happened yesterday. Losing Santacroce, who up to that point was your MOTM, was your biggest loss.

Ranjeet, Borriello is doing everything Gila wouldnt do…track back, run to the endline, and hold the ball to help the attack.

Avia, Seedorf and the rest of the squad was a bit off yesterday, but a good team wins even when they are not at thier best and it was important to get the three points.

I haven’t been here in a while. Just thought to come back and read the comments. It’s really annoying that on whatever site you go, where readers can leave comments, it’s always this ranting and raving about the team that won. Why is it so hard for so many people to accept defeat? Milan was clearly the better team yesterday. Only biased fans would claim the opposite. Milan fans, at least on this site are very objective, they know when their team played rubbish. However, that was not the case against Napoli. SSC had barely time to breathe at all. The pressure from Milan was so high, the goal, even the own goal, was inevitable. I read the comments from Napoli’s coach and his players, talking about deserving a draw!? Is that a joke? All they deserve is some credit for defending like hell. All that complaining about the referee. I don’t care if the handball was debatable or not, the way the player held his arm, that was not natural. Anyway, these situations are always difficult to decide for the ref. Just watch Zambrotta and how he avoids being whistled for a handball when opposing players want to cross. He holds his arms behind his back. Seemingly he learned his lesson. Luckily, the game went our way and we are #1. Moratti mocks Milan for not being at the top for four years or so. Perhaps he talks about the Serie A, but not about the top of European football. If that is what he means, then Inter is dwelling above the relegation zone for years…

Napoli is a really good team and played a excellent game…they remind me of Arsenal, young talented and can run for days, they impressed me much. They just need a couple of veteran/experienced players to take them to the next level.

It took a lot of fortunate events for us to pull out the victory. They went down to 10 ment and lost key players and then ultimately put the ball in the back of their own net.

Having said that we didn’t take out chances well…… Pato *cough* Kaka *cough*.

But in the end we’re in first. Ronaldinho is proving his worth by doing little things to win big games. Gattuso is a montster in the midfield again, and Boriello is running his ass off but has to get on the score sheet.
Pato is starting to worry me.:(

For the most part, out display yesterday in conjunction with our record and player’s records proved to me that we really do have a chance to win the Scudetto this year. If Rino can stay in form and play like that, the midfield is locked down. If Nesta and Kala come back to bolster centre defense, and with Janks and Zambro, we’ve got a good defense. Through in Amrbo or Flamini, it’s even better. When Pirlo makes his return, hopefully he can be back to his old self. Dinho is slowly but surely returning to his old self. Boriello is proving he is a great striker, and as we’ve already established, more than that (tracking back, etc), then throw in an on form Kaka/Pato/Seedorf or whoever fits, and we’re a truly great team again. Maybe it’s me rambling or dreaming, but I see it as a real possibility that we could go to the top of the world again.
