Maldini Monday
By: Gianfranco | March 10th, 2008Shehan posted this comment yesterday and it stuck with me all day, I had to post it. For some reason Il Capitano has been on fire as of late and this kind of sums it up…
“are you guys kidding me??
MALDINI WAS MAN OF THE FUCKING MATCH!!!
who carried the ball up from the half to the other box and spread play to kaka’ on the left to cross to ambro??
PAOLO FUCKING MALDINI.
WHO WAS CLEARING THE BALL EVERY TIME IT CAME INTO OUR BOX?
PAOLO FUCKING MALDINI.
WHO SLOWED THE TEMPO DOWN WITH LATERAL PASSES BETWEEN DEFENDERS WHEN EMPOLI WERE TEARING US APART WITH THEIR HIGHER TEMPO?
THATS RIGHT, PAOLO FUCKING MALDINI.
IF YOU GUYS CAN’T SEE HIS VALOROUS PERFORMANCE TODAY, WHEN THE WHOLE TEAM LACKED PASSION, YOU SHOULD QUIT FOOTBALL.
today we saw what football is about, passion and character. today, we saw that in Maldini. he was the only one playing like he gave a shit. what a fucking stud.
show respect where it is deserved.
il capitano always said ‘you are only as good as your last game’. from his last game this morning, he should be crowned king.
MALDINI WON US THIS GAME.
if you dont believe me, watch it again; only a clueless ignoramus can’t acknowledge his contribution in todays game. he was THE fucking beast.
he is Paolo Maldini, the captain of captains. the football of footballers. the king of kings.
FORZA PAOLO”
It’s emotional, raw, and just plain mean, and I loved it.
I would like to get a little discussion going about the chance of Il Capitano coming back for another season, as always all thoughts are welcome. I believe his health comes first, but if Ol’Sil opens his wallet to give the greatest defender who ever lived a chance for a sweep of trophies, then by all means Paolo come back, because Joga Bonito will be lost without you…

Nooo, my Ricky most definitely does not have a unibrow
I quite like Roma, but I’m inclined to agree with Gian and Fets: We have to look out for ourselves first and have a totally solid hold on forth (which we’re not even at) before we start rooting for Roma. Mind, I totally hope some miracle happens, we murder Inter during the derby, and Roma takes the scudetto in a dramatic last second clinch a la Real Madrid last season. =]Posted from

Fuck Roma, we need the CL place. I’m here asking to steal their players and some of you guys are rooting for them. *rolls eyes*

if we lost to roma and were still guaranteed to finish in the top four, then sure, i would cheer for roma this weekend. but since in calcio there are no guarantees, forza milan!

while i agree that the only person who deserves to stay for another season regardless of age is paolo, i still stick by what i said about his performance in the match yday – it wasnt what we expect from him, he only came to life in the second half.. lost a fair bit of the ball in the first half. but then the whole team sucked as well!
couple of more things – ancelotti’s also echoing the no revolution line now, so status quo on transfers imo
secondly, read somewhere that the inter website got hit by other fans (hopefully ours!) who went and voted for the match they lost to lazio in their scudetto race in 2001 as the best match – lol!Posted from

Avia, I would rather we get someone else then an arsenal player.
in terms of wenger in the past; he has sold a lot of players due to contract disputes.

Ro, Fet’s right, we have added quite a bit of femininity lately with our talk of pretty boys, he should be able to talk about a chick’s rack, especially if it’s Ricky’s sister.
Fet, let us know when you find her!
Kinda going on what vtec said, if I could just get a quick glance into the future and know we make the CL fourth spot even if we lose to Roma, I would be alright… but you’re all right, Milan’s fourth spot comes first. Forza Milan!

Not to mention the fact that our getting class players is going to depend on us playing European football.

forget whether or not we support roma. Sum1 just askd me who wil all the Milan tifosi b cheerin on 2nite? Inter or Liverpool?

Well, I also happen to be a Liverpool fan, so I can cheer for them and know that’s it’s not just out of hatred for Inter. The fact they if they go through they knock Inter out, just added bonus for me.
But I totally understand those who will support Inter because they are Italian. If it were any other EPL team I would do the same.

Ronaldo back in Italy.
Berlu is supporting Inter.
“Berlusconi: Milan will have a superstar, but not Ronaldinho” Good to hear.
Looks like the Sheva thing is getting more serious and closer.Only if there was a way for both Inter & Liverpool to lose. but for now hopefully Inter will crash & burn.

agree fety i hate both teams but just to see inter knocked out during their centenary week will make my season!
sheva is inching closer day by day. on a free transfer; i wish.

I’m italian and couldn’t care less if inter win or not they suck…end of story. I hope they lose alla roma to united in last season CL. COME ON EL NINO show them all those hattricks you’ve scored this past month,
And Bonnie I know I was just teasing him.

I was just teasing you too, Ro. Damn the internet and it’s not conveying sarcasm or teasing tones.

haha bonnie thats ok I understood you were teasing…maybe we should make something where we can convey the sarcasam and teasing.

Seriously, the internet is horrible for terribly witty people like ourselves!
And it’s nil-nil at halftime for Inter. They’ve looked dangerous at times, but they seriously need to pick it up, Liverpool’s defense is too strong right now.

HAHA *rofl* inter down to 10 men

Oh goodness, the whining from Inter fans is gonna be incredible later!
