At first I thought it was just a “oh woohoo, we have Becks” but with injuries piling up, it seems as though they might really need him after-all !

Here’s what I said on the Italy WCB:

The Beckhamilan deal is a fiasco. Beneficial to both sides, but a fiasco.

    Just one giant media circus.

    @allesio – If it’s a Circus, we’ll enjoy seeing that Circus.

If he contributes to the team’s cause of winning, then it’s well and good. I am not bothered about who plays or not until the team succeeds.

Wow,he may actually play a few games for us. it would be interesting. I think we should get Gila on loan for 2 months. He is a good header and might actually do well for Milan.

Indifference. Pure indifference. He’s not a true Milan player in my eyes, but if he ends up helping, great. More power to him. At the end of the day, I really could care less.

And because Goal.com occasionally comes out with some gems among their riff-raff: http://www.goal.com/en/news/10/italy/2008/12/19/1019051/goalcom-special-learning-italian-with-david-beckham

“1) Scusa, Pirlo, tiro io questa punzione.

Excuse me, Pirlo, I’ll take this free kick.”

“9) Non sono qui solo per vendere magliette. Non sono qui solo per vendere magliette. Non sono qui solo…

I’m not here just to sell jerseys. I’m not here just to sell jerseys. I’m not here just…”

    Golden.

The Becks story becomes of a circus by the minute. Some highlights.

Posh has decided that the 8000 euro per night suite at the Four Seasons isn’t suitable for them, largely because it lacks a sufficient number of papparazzi-evading escape routes. Her mate Madonna has suggested a suite at the Principe di Savoia, which costs 15K per night.

Beckham still hasn’t signed his contract, and it appears that his people only responded to Milan’s original offer on Friday night. One point that the two sides seem to have agreed on is that the Beckhams and Milan will split revenues from merchandise, friendlies and special media productions 50-50 (in case anyone was wondering why Milan have scheduled a friendly against Rangers in February).

Galliani suggested that Becks could fill in for Gattuso.

And my favourite, Silvio wants Becks to guest star in the Italian Big Brother, which Mediaset controls.

    It’s all about the football.

ursus after reading that it seems that Beckham is only along for the ride considering the circumstances, he may really only want to get fit, but Ol Sil and Fester have other plans…

    why so much hating?

    A) there’s a worldwide economic slowdown. I hardly see a downside to making an extra 30million. Especially when ticket revenue is down due to the team playing like shite

    B) How many times does Beckham have to prove his dedication and professionalism (two things severely lacking from this squad)? He could be chilling, sitting on the cool millions from his Galaxy deal. Instead, he comes to Europe to keep in shape for England. Yes, he’s not a youngun, yes he doesn’t run the 100m in under 11 seconds. But to say he’s not good enough for Milan or that he can’t contribute anything is to have your head up your ass.

If Capello thinks he’s good enough, then I’ll at least give him a chance.

Milan really will need his crossing and free kick ability, it’s not like they had someone like Pirlo or Ronaldinho who is any good at those kind of things.

I was really ready to hate him as a Milan player. I’ve never loved him and thought it was a joke that we signed him.

But sitting here, seeing him in the stands in the Udinese game, I’ve realized something – Milan are taking so much of my energy this year with their perplexing play, I have none left to hate a man who’s here temporarily and may be able to fill in an injury-filled midfield. It’s just not worth my time to get worked up about it.

Hana, those Italian phrases are hysterical. And personally, I’m cautiously optimistic about Becks coming on board. I wasn’t a fan of the Dinho deal, and I’m perfectly happy to eat my words now that he’s doing so well for us. A few weeks ago, I was still trying to figure out where in the heck they were going to put DB with an already-stacked midfield, but now that we’re a few weeks (and a few more injuries) on, it looks like he could actually be useful. If, that is, he’s here to do more than sell jerseys.

(And even if that’s all he’s here for, I wonder how many new players we’ll be able to buy with the cash Uncle Fester has after selling all that Beckham rossoneri kit?)

Milan really needs his bend kick and wonderful support to the former striker (like parto). So i request all of honorable Milan people to sign for him at least one years. That is good for his destination to go to the 2010 South America world cup.
    Thank for all
    your ever or
    forever fan
