Friday Milan Musings, The Mourinho Effect
By: Gianfranco | September 21st, 2007Unlike a lot of Milan tifosi, I do not Jose on the sidelines of the Rossoneri, the Nerazzuri is another strory though. With that being said I do believe that a few of the Chelsea big names could potentially make their way over to the San Siro good guys.
Sheva is most definetly out of the questions because Roman loves him in a weird way, and Jose did not. Part of me thinks that this Sheva debacle may be partly to blame for the Roman-Jose break up. I would definetly expect Sheva and even Ballack to get more playing time especially with the African Nations Cup on the horizon.
This leads to me the one and only Ivorian Assasin, and my favor striker in the world, Didier Drogba. Drogba LOVED Jose, and Jose LOVED Drogba. In fact many rumors said that the only reason Drogba stayed put was Jose, eliminate that factor from the equation. Add in equal parts of terrible Milan strikers and all of the sudden you can see a January window that brings Pato in for good, and Drogba right alongside. Oh how happy a Milan fan I would be be. GOODBYE Ronaldo, Pippo to the bench, and Gila on rotation. I smell a plan a brewin.

What? A striker who can actually hit the back of the net? No, we’ll never buy him. That goes against all the principles of the rossoneri — we’re proud of winning everything (besides that inconvenient scudetto we didn’t want anyway) DESPITE having a front line as incompetent as Real Madrid’s back line.
Besides, he’s not over 30 and/or Brazilian.

essien. we must get essien. he is a beast.
if bush wanted to succeed in invading iraq, all he needed was gattuso and essien…

Pippo to the bench would be terrible, since he scores often. Gila does nothing for me. Ronaldo, currently is doing nothing since he’s hurt, but is a great striker and should be kept in the rotation. Now, Sheva coming back would be a dream come true. Drogba, I don’t really care about. Essien, I also dont care about. Jose, I also couldn’t care less about. Once the team gets its shit together, and Ronaldo starts to play, I think they’ll be a force to be reckoned with once again!
FORZA IL MILAN!

Ronaldo is not the answer, and Essien is truly a beast but he would lack a true place in the squad. We need a striker and Drogba fits the bill.

while Ronnie may not be the answer, his help up front will surely help the rossoneri to score some more goals, and maybe end this tie-fest.

I’m actually surprised this blog has delved deeper into why Gila is underperforming; unless I missed past postings. But, I think with Alice Bregoli expecting their first child in early 2008 and the distance they both travel to be together provides a distraction. From what I’ve read, Alice has carped about traveling every week from Piacenza where she studies and lives (and where her family resides.) I’m sure that once they marry, she graduates and gives birth most his distractions will subside.

I don’t think Mourinho is heading to AC Milan. It’s known he’s been in touch with inter. However, Inter is gelling and Milan is not. Milan needs a new coach but I don’t think Jose & Drogba are the answer.
