Our ‘friends’ at goal.com gave Ronnie an 8.5, but also commented that “Away from goal he is not the same player he was…”

What more could I ask for?
How about Seedorf being sent out on loan instead of Yoann Gourcuff?
How about Ancelotti coming up with a system for the attackers that doesn’t rely on Kaka playing every match?
It was far from a great performance, we were useless in the first half. Samp kept a compressed defence in front of the box, like every team does agqainst us these days, and we managed three shots. If it wasn’t for Kaka and the red card we might have missed out on 3 points.
The attackers seemed too far away from eachother in the first half. Id have prefered to see pato allowed to roam more rather than being pinned tyo the left and i would have liked to see Ronaldinho being encouraged to play one twos off Borriello or some thing like that. We also need the fullbacks to cut in more often.
Anyway a win is a win i guess

Pat, I agree with you a bit here but I try to put a more positive spin on it in my write up tomorrow. I think Carletto tactics with two strikers is to keep the fullbacks back more especially play against a guy like Cassano. Pato is still learning and because of it he gets lost in space a bit, but Borriello will be a big help for everyone because he is not afraid to do the dirty work and help guys like Pato, Dinho, and Kaka.
Defensively I though the team did well and show growth especially Bonera and Antoni. Remember this is still not the first choice eleven, we didnt even know what that is right is now, so this team is still progressing, but three points are three points and no matter how you do it, you have to get it done.

I thought the defence was pretty good too, there were moments when I was a bit nervous but a lot less often than at the start of the season.
I dont think Pato’s problems are simply down to his inexperience. He gets shifted around so much, striker on the left, striker in the middle, striker on the right, attacking midfielder, left, centre and right. I want him to have a roaming role rather than fixed one and i want him to have a similar role every week so he concentrate on getting it right rather than adjusting to a new role every week.
I agree on Borriello’s importance, I’d like to see Milan get him a bit more involved though, he saw precious little of the ball yesterday.
Fair enough if you want the full backs to do more defensive work but I dont think you then rely on pato to create all the width.
We may not know our first XI yet but I can assure everyone, if we are going to win the scudetto, seedorf aint part of it.
Seedorf needs to become like Inzaghi, important in the big mtches, bench warmer for the week to week stuff.

sam ,you are in India? Where?
Overall, not a great performance. We might struggle to beat small teams.
Inter 4 0 Roma. Crap.Posted from

Pat thats pretty rough on seedorf, players of his quality and vision are few and far between in the Serie A.

I think we are overlookn a serious issue here (or im over-analyzing) but it took a red card for Milan to suddenly arrive.
What the heck happnd in the first half?? We were def not a threat and Samp did play sum good football.
I also watched the Roma - Inter match (Rosemary beads in hand!) prayn 4 Roma 2 finally step it up.
Anyway….the merda were all out attack from the first minute to the final whistle in a manner that is missing from the way Carlo sends out his squad.
Our first half performance yesterday is exactly the type of thing that will cost us the Scudetto!
Yeah its a win, but we said that so many times last season after sub-par performances.
We have Atalanta & Siena next in the league and (no disrespect ment but) we’d better bury the both of them.
Im prayn that Gila does us a favour against the merda next week also (better get my Rosemary Beads out!).

Avia, Milan was attacking early in the second half, I felt it was more Kaka’s inclusion than the red card.

Gian - OR think of it like this……
Who was probs the best player to exploit the extra space? Kaka!
We where lucky in terms of timing that he came on for the 2nd half.
The first half saw Milan adrift and it needs resolving if we are to chase down the Scudetto, if Inter win it this year they will equal our league tally.
Already im worried!

Dont get me wrong, i totally revelled in yesterdays victory and watchn Dino grab a brace and THEN Super Pippos Super Sweet goal had me screamn with joy!
In fact, im still buzzn from the victory, but still get flashbacks of things i DIDNT like.
Did any1 spot Maldini getn caught out uncharacteristically????

Avia, those teams need to be buried if you want to win the scudetto, playing Inter and Juve is only a possible 12 points, playing and winning against the rest of the league is where the Scudetto is won.

the game yesterday was a little bit frustrating for me as i was crying to see the midfield create more openings for borriello and pato dinho was the only one playing to his level up until kaka came in. the pato-borri in my opinion should be our killer stike partnership for scudetto glory. and on the dorfnext year gourcuff should start over him our numero 10 will be 33!! and this year when pirlo comes back i just don’t see him in the starting eleven realistically but knowing carletto he’ll probably drop dinho despite his fine form so dorf can play.

Samuel - totally with you on Pato & Borriello, would def love to see those two become a killer combo!
If Cuffy is back next year i dont think it is a simple case of dropn the Dorf.
It would be best to phase him in, kinda like whats happn with Ants in defence.
Admitdly, the Dorf wasnt pulling the strings for us yesterday but on average his performances have helped soften the blow of Pirlos’ absence.

yeah avia your right but if someone does not get sacrificed for cuffy he will never settle into the team knowing carletto and his no youngster ways!.

joe,
have you watched seedorf this season? played well against inter and has done pretty much nothing else aside from a couple of other glimpses of what he used to be.
Seedorf is a 35-40 games a season player now, not an every weeker
