At this point, honestly the fact that we couldnt win the scudetto isnt what is really keeping me down.

I am more disappointed in the fans than I am in the team.

    @ Patcook,

Yeah, i did buy into the media hype on the whole issue to be honest.

Maybe it wasn’t as bad as what the media made it out to be, but it still shows a lack of respect to vent such frustrations at such a long serving captains last game.

Regarding Mexes, I love the guy, and he was a monster today, but a lot of that can be related to Juan being back in the side. Juan is just as much the monster Mexes is, and I think Mexes can only work to his full capability when he has someone of equal or greater awareness and positioning playing along side him.

Avia, the loss of a scudetto is hardly a shock. I have expected it after we lost our two opening games. Maybe some optimism but deep down inside i always knew this would be hard.

But this whole ultras incident has really taken me by shock. I have been saying things like seedorf shouldnt be whistled in the San Siro, but never did I expect something like that against Maldini.

What I don’t understand is why Ancelotti keeps taking Pato off when he is a dangerous player. What the fuck did Inzaghi do all game? Nothing! Just like last week, Pato was getting into the game, looking the most likely and he takes him off. I think that set the curva off.

And I can understand the frustrations of fans by the slipshod infantile defending and his selections there. Favalli’s positioning was just terrible throughout the game. How they didn’t work out that Riise was going to aim at Taddei just blows my mind? Stick a man behind him and never concede in a million years. Simple as that.

K – (was kiddn bout the Carlo thing btw!)

But i see a direct correlation between the mushy words of Carlo and the totally half assed performances on the pitch

    Dont you??

He gave up on the scudetto, then on finishing 2nd, next it will be him giving up on automatic qualification on a CL spot!

Yes its hard but since when does a coach talk so publicly about being half assed????

You seem to have forgotten (as has Carlo) the declaration by our esteemed coach back in december when we stumbled into 1st place his words when he declared “Milan are favourites for the scudetto”??

I’d rather hear him talk like that as it must place some kinda expectancy on the players

Totally with you regarding the Ultras yesterday, IM STILL REELING!! I soooo gutted for Maldini its making me sick

But your idea that PantsDorf SHOULDNT be whistled numbs my mind!

Never mind the ultras, when i was at the Juve match, THE WHOLE STADIUM was jeering him and trust me, it was music to my ears :D

I could see the frustration on all the fans as they were desperate to break the deadlock and your friend is passing the ball BACKWARDS???

The guys in the tier below stood up, threw their hands in the air and turned their backs to him!!

They weren’t ultras, they were just peeps like you and me who expect more from players wearing our colours!

A – Kaka also could have been pulled yesterday instead of Pato as he was piss poor for at least the first 60 min. Nonetheless, it was good to see him and Dinho working together fairly well; hopefully that bodes well for next season…

And Real Madrid is going on my nerves constantly, their offers for Kaka are blasphemous.I mean both milan and kaka rejected them like 20 times before and they are still making pressure.Thats not human.

You never take Kaka off when you are losing, unless he is walking on one leg.

A – that might be one of the reasons that he plays the way he does now – he gets a free ride regardless of what how he is doing on the field.

He set up both goals. And it wasn’t like he was the only player playing badly. They had all the possession but the urgency of a sloth making his way up a tree. It took a goal from Roma to wake them up.

Right,i agree. Those players can do the game with just one move not to mention that kaka is always well covered and then he makes space for other players

yes, but it is not uniformly applied. i understand that prior achievements and history with the club count a lot in such situations, but it wouldn’t have hurt to give a few of the anointed (such as kaka) a wake up call…

Sure, but the same goes for Pato and Dinho and those guys certainly have not been given the luxury of guaranteed starts the whole season…

just back. was reading about the banners as i couldn’t see them from the curva, not good! I was wondering what maldini was waving the back of his hand at when he took his lap.

i’ll read back later. I don’t know if you could see on tv but it was incredibly hot in the stadium which really added to the slow pace of the game. Cassetti collapsed and was taken off with heatstroke. it was in the thirties from early morning and as many of you know that stadium is like a glasshouse. Maldini was bent double struggling to get his breath after about 20mins.

I won’t comment on the game itself – oh pera and GF i was gone to airport when you replied to my previous comments re beckham and betting on the chievo game.

I think commenting from a Roma point of view the game really did have a slow pace to it on both sides. After we scored it seemed like Milan did have majority of the play, and only after we conceeded and Menez came on did it even look like we a hope in scoring again.

Regarding the discussion about Kaka, once again looking at it from a different perspective to you guys, I think Carlo may have noticed the same thing I did. Kaka was allowed a lot of time and space at times on the ball, where as Pato was often marked very closely, probably because last fixture we meet and he wasnt he dominated Mexes and Juan by sheer pace. It took Kaka some time, but eventually he was able to exploit the space provided to him and really punished us with a great ball to Ambrosini for the 2nd.

Still, I think Inzaghi was limited all game, and when its not going well for Inzaghi you are better off sacrificing him, rather than sacrificing the one player who could take advantage of tired legs, Pato.

Pato was flying and had at least one great chance to score which went wide. Pippo was kinda pathetic, getting called offsides on every chance and. Imo Kaka started to get space after Dinho came in because the defenders had to respect the latter.

Fadayn: The heat really was obscene, wasn’t it? Never seen anything like it. Lord knows I almost had a heat stroke sitting in the stands, I can only imagine what it was like on the field…
