EAT IT MAN CITY!!

By: Gianfranco | January 19th, 2009

It’s funny, but in a strange way this entire week resembles Kaka’s play on the pitch.

At any given moment Ricky can be leisurely playing his game: passing, moving, dribbling, and shooting. But in an instant unannounced, with the ball at his feet, he becomes a whirlwind, a tornado, and this once serene player who hadn’t made a sound on the pitch is now a weapon hurling himself towards the goal with a ferocity reserved only for the likes of Rino. As he nears the goal, this crescendo continues until it rattles the uprights, and then as suddenly as it started with a kneel and a point to the heavens the madness is over, and our Kaka is himself once again.

For me this summed up my week, at one point on Friday, I felt as though I was going to boil over in frustration and anticipation. Worrying, wondering, reasoning, and contemplating, in fact at one point or another I was both happy and sad, and unsure what to make of the whole thing. Yes I have advocated and even called for the sale of Kaka in the past, but when faced with real fact of the matter, I too was cringed and wondered quite rightly what I had done. I almost felt like Judas, ready to accept the money to give up the player I have shamefully wronged in the past, but like Judas I began to feel both guilt and remorse. However my ultimate end was the way it should be, for Judas the news was not as good.

OK, I will stop the biblical references, but in all honestly, I am relieved. I am foggy on why the deal fell through, and quite frankly at this my ignorance is bliss, but at the moment it appears all is well and safe with our one and only Ricky Kaka…

Brace yourselves for the grief that lies ahead, from our near and dear Uncle Fester, claiming poverty, but for now enjoy some more…

The fact that Beckham is starting in this friendly better mean Flamini is getting the start against Bologna.

trying not to because i hate watching the sheva pippo partnership, reminds me of when they were good. just looking at a bit of the inter roma game and roma probably should have had a peno but vucinic got booked and adriano scored off some of the worst defending ive seen this year from the freekick.

both Kaka or Pato needs to be on the pitch at all times, without them Milan has no energy or movement, and then they just stand still passing, so boring, they need the pace of kaka and pato..

he isnt injured they always leave some first team players who a rest like maldini and zambrotta. they are listed as not called up on the site. nesta, kaladze, gattuso and borriello are all listed as injured but i read that nesta is back.

I’m just so happy Milan didn’t sell kaka, they do not really need to buy reinforcements..they have their youth..just use them..lots of potential.

its a shame they dont give them a run in the coppa when they dont take it seriously. playing the likes of favalli and emerson is pointless.

For those of you who watched the game, did da silva play, and if so, what was your impression?

after this latest performance, which follows two previous walk fests, i think ronnie has earned a place on the bench this coming weekend. i also think that he will be hard pressed to regain his position in the starting eleven because, if anything, he seems to be loosing rather than gaining fitness.

Silva was very good (and i mean good, it’s a sad fact that he can’t play this season), but i am impressed with Hurtado in II half ( yes, i saw THAT wrong pass, but he was convincing ). Outstanding Seedorf, Kaka with smile on his face and Pipo with some 6-7 offsides and 2 goals… First goal by Sheva was pure class.
    After Kaka-saga, this game was just what i need… : :)

o dissappointed with ronaldinho in hannover game. he doesnt seem to be motivated. he also hardly runs compared to the barcelona days he was magic and without a dought the best player in the world. he has to start improving, i was over the moon when we signed him, but now am not so sure.

Dinho was not convincing at all 2day, he will be benched at bologna for me. pippo’s goal was what i needed always feel better when he finds the net. Silva seems to be a world class player, get mexes and with Nesta hopefully 100% the backline should be good. Sad Pato wasnt there, would’ve been a great game 2 score in and gain experience.
