Auguri Bonera!!

By: Gianfranco | May 31st, 2008

Buon Compleano Daniele!! We may give him a hard time and he may give us fits with his poor tackles, but he is an asset to have on the squad now and in the future when our defense is lacking depth.

Another cool video of Bonera and his Ex-Parma Mates that I had to share…

lol Uncle Fester has a sense of humor.. one thing I like about him.. did he really say that Fet??

I want Gomez or Benzema.. That would be just simply amazing.. *tears of joy at the prospect*

Nice Bonera vid.. For some reason, I like watching defender videos more.. There are some really nice Nesta vids out there which are always a joy to watch..

Bonera is an excellent back-up.. :D

    Bonera???

Let see, we have Nesta cutting out runs by the opposition with the clinical precision of a cancer surgeon and on the other hand we have Mr Bonera giving away silly free kicks just outside the box in the last 10/15 mins!

His mama must be posting these vids on youtube!

yah moka he said that today i believe. and a few days ago he was joking about the Ancelotti-Chelsea link.

“Chelsea’s interest in Ancelotti is a story which I am aware of,” “I’ve asked Abramovich for £35m in exchange.”

“Or we could always propose a straight swap deal between Ancelotti and Didier Drogba,” he chuckled.

    Goal Keeper,
still not completely satisfied. get us Frey. is Amelia cursed or something. the guy wants to leave and go anywhere no one is snatching him!!
    Abbiati, Kalac, Dida.

    Defence,
Zambrotta, Maggio(hopefully), Darmian, Bonera, Kaladze, (Favali, Janko, Oddo-one or 2 might leave) and the great 2 Maldini & Nesta!!

    Midfield,
Brocchi, Flamini, Ambro, Ringhio, Pirlo, Seedorf, Kaka. we can keep Emerson or sell him and get some youngster instead.

    Attack,
Pato + Borriello + ????/The One or The Other One or The Third One. + Pippo will always be there to score when needed.

Is it it just me or does this squad actually sounds good. just a few extra final touches and they’re good to go. the rest is up to the coach *looks at Carletto*

“Likewise, in attack we have brought Marco Borriello back. He scored more goals than Juventus’ new signing Amauri this season.”

HA! Would any of you take Borriello over Amauri?

I know he was kidding around, but Borriello…I see him flopping at Milan hardcore….again.

Congrats on Zambrotta. I wish Juve had seriously bid for him, 8.5million euros, that’s a steal.

alessio you raise a very valid point, borriello or amauri, I guess borriello is younger and has a lot more potential to improve, but amauri is a beast…how bout Juve send over Legrotagglia and then we I will say Amauri is better…

i know im so skeptic about him. not every player works for every team. we’ve seem it happen many team, biggest related cases are Gila & Sheva.

the thing is in the Milan attack Borriello will have a limited space to play unlike when with Genoa. or at least that what was going on in the past, same for Gila. thats why Pippo was great. but now Ancelotti must do whats best for the team. and we must sign another big world star striker.

With Maggio, the defence is pretty much set.. It’s good.. (assuming we do get Maggio)

Midfield has a small hole.. If Kaka/Seedorf injured, then there’s a small problem.. I hope Emerson/Brocchi leave for a creative midfielder.. (it’s not like Gourcuff stepped up when they were injured, but it’s comforting to know he was there).. Unless we end up getting Ronaldinho..

Attack should be good.. I agree with alessio that Borriello will be a flop in Milan.. Great season, but don’t see that happening again..

Btw this Maggio dude.. Saw videos of him, nothing crazy about him.. Scored 7 goals as a defender.. has good long shots.. Other than that, nothing notable from what I’ve seen..

Moka he is a very good young defender, who probably could be going to EURO 08 this year if the comeptition wasnt so tight, he may not be all that happy with a move to MIlan though so only time will tell.

I dont see Borriello as a flop, his chances should increase with more talent around him and he will probably score more easy rebound type goals as well. 19 goals is a lot, but you figure if he scores fifteen its a great season. A flop will be hard to do, people say Gila was a flop but his numbers say otherwise in terms of goals per game. But he was under a rather tight microscope and had lost trust in managment, you figure Borriello to learn from those mistakes.

Ok. I am Roma for life. But lets be serious, Milan has the potential to have an AWESOME team this year, as does juve. I think Roma, Juve, and Milan will be top 3 for sure. But come on…. look at this Lineup

Portiere - Dida (Sucks) Kalac (Sucks) ok, your weak point
Defenders - Zambrotta, Maldini, Nesta, Oddo (Bonera)
Mid - Pirlo, Flamini, Gattuso, Kaka
Forward - Pato, Boriello, SuperPip, Paloschi

Throw in a little Drogba, Sheva, and you have a sick team… just be sure that our boys Nesta and Maldini can keep up with the GioVinco, Amauri, DelP, and Trez (God I hate Juve). Hopefully George Soros comes in to throw a wrench into the whole thing. Well, at least we all get to cheer on the boys in Blue before the cutthroat begins. Forza AZZURRI !!!!

um i think borrielo will improve and score over 15 goals if he is a regular starter next year, amuari may be more talented and skillful on the ball and all, but borrielo was better where it mattered putting the ball into the net. and his miss for the azzuri does not bother me, he was probably nervous (first time).
