Tuesday Milan Musings

By: Gianfranco | March 11th, 2008

null

Today beckons with an age old question, Inter or L’Pool? Quite frankly if they both somehow eliminated themselves, maybe because Inter has two many internationals and are now considered the Junior Argentine National Team, thus disqualifying them from CL play. Livepool can be eliminated because Dirk Kuyt makes me want to vomit, and they once had Jerzy “Crazy Legs” Dudek as their goalie so they to should be removed from contention. The bottom line as I pull up a seat for this game is that I can careless who wins, as long as their some red cards, injuries, and some overtime to take the best out of Inter for the weekend.

Another strange point has been kicked around the comments and that is should Rossoneri fans root for Roma this weekend? First things Rossoneri fans root for no one other than the Rossoneri, especially when the squad needs all the support it can get. Second, we are not in the CL zone, we are not in first place, and we sure as shit not in the hunt for the scudetto, all this means one thing and one thing only, Rossoneri need points. It does not matter if the opponent is second place Roma, last place Calgliari, or a team of refugees that need the win for safety, I will root for the Rossoneri, and so should you.

In conclusion:

INTER MERDA,
null
ROMA MERDA,
null
JUVE MERDA,
VIOLA MERDA…

If Roma want the scudetto so badly then let them go after it themselves.

OK I have calmed down so I can recap some more odds and ends.

-Silvio is rooting for Inter; great…I think he may need to read the blog more?

-Ronaldo is back in Italy, why I am not all that sure, but I hope it is to pack his bags. This club needs to move forward and the way I look at it, a fresh off injury Ronaldo does not fit into the plans.

-Brocchi is worried about Milan’s performances’ as of late, and quite frankly so am I. The team has looked flat since the Arsenal loss, and will really need to find some excitement and spirit if they want push for the fourth spot. The have been gifted with the Viola’s struggles and need to capitalize to be in striking distance of them as well as Juve, anything is possible and it is important to be there when it does.

-Marseille are hot and heavy for our favorite benchwarmer Gourcuff, if they want to pay the big bucks, I say Arriverderci. But it will have to a fair amount of cash to make it worth it, and that cash will have to be reinvested wisely to make it all make sense.

See you at the weeks end with a proper preview for this week’s big game.

Best way to start your day.

    Maldini,
“With regards to my future, I still leave the doors open. Before I thought I was hundred percent convinced that I will stop by the end of the season, but lately I received a lot of praise and together with my physical condition, which is better than last year during the same period, they made me think. I must therefore still decide what to do about my future”

Come on Paolo, just come out and say it. Sempre Forza Il Capitano!

Berlu raiding R.Madrid. “Berlusconi Wants Pepe, Ramos & Robinho” lol.

first of all, this is only linking us to more players along with the dozen we are already linked to. second, Madrid bought Pepe last season for 30mil, Ramos wont leave unless a huge breakdown happens and i doubt it. Robinho doesnt look that unhappy and Madrid wont let him go easily.

Corriere claimed that Milan will be spending around 50 million, and have Drogba and Amauri as their candidates, DD for 35 mil, Amauri 25 mil. and Sheva as either a last resort or as a back up as well. Also Corriere are speculating Flamini may join on a free transfer.

In other news Pippo Inzaghi is out injured for 20 days. leaving us with Pato, Gila & Paloschi.

Fetyani, I also heard that Flamini will join up, it is hard to believe that Arsenal would not give him tons of money, but I would welcome him a as compliment to Rino, he is also a bit more polished on the ball as well. I think if he is willing to call San Siro home than he should be welcomed with open arms.

flamini, zambrotta, benzema/toni/drogba (in that order), and maybe di silvestre.

and bring borriello back, give him a second shot.

borriello, for me atleast, is hanging on the fence. if his form continues, we could cash in on him for some good moola, so its win-win situation no matter what.

i wouldnt mind getting Flamini or Nasri or anyone, just as long as they dont affect Ringhio or Pirlo. im sure Pirlo wont lose his place, but we must keep Ringhio playing as a key player. so…….Seedorf! this is a very tough one, and only the coaching staff can figure this one out.

im still on getting Benzema. Gourcuff + $$$ for Benzema. reports say a deal including Cuffy to get Nasri is being mentioned.

im so worried on our transfer market. looks like im just gonna give up and stay quite and put my complete faith on our transfer guru, wait till the next season begins and judge after that. even if we only get sheva. well its not like we have any voice. all im saying, because we’re so desperate, we just need anyone and just hope that certain player will make a difference and have an impact.

as for Sheva, if we only get him, i have a feeling he will be THE SHEVA we all knew. the thing is, if we do get him, and from all the reports and speculations looks like he’s coming. i dont know if we will get anyone else. because i doubt Sheva will go from a bench in London, to a bench in Milan. and it would be so ironic if Drogba came and places Sheva on our bench.

and even though it may not be up to us to get Benzema. he claims he is not ready to move. we must be upfront to snatch him, when he becomes available. because regardless of who we will get, Drogba, Amauri, Sheva, Toni. they’re all 7-11 years older. Pato + Benzema = attack secured for the next decade.

and another last thing, we should only get one striker to play along side Pato. because we already have Paloschi & Pippo. Gila must leave, for his own good, we can keep him, but that would be destroying a good talented player.

send gourcouff to marseille, and get djibril cisse in return.

    sign sheva in the offseason.

offer gila to other serie a teams, his time has passed.

il fenomeno is done. he was done at real madrid. i realize the rossoneri likes to remain loyal to its players…but ronaldo is finished. completely.

if we follow my advice, we would have a strike force of:

    pato
    sheva
    cisse
    inzaghi
    paloschi

    forza milan!

There is no way that fucking glass-leg CissĂ©’s allowed in Milan! He is like the french version of Ronaldo, exept he’s not even near Ronnie’s skill level when fit.
Ronnie & Gila out, Benzema in. Please.

PS: Would love a new goalkeeper and some fresh blood for midfield and defense too.

Cisse is a no go, he is the french Ronaldo, great point. Benzema, in my opinion may not fit in at Milan. Sheva is a safe bet but more help is needed

One day our Duckie is gonna be a fine looking man… but I have a hard time perving on him right now. I lean more towards Fet’s taste in men, yummy Gattuso.

And Gian’s got a great point - these players can be world-class, but not everyone will fit in at Milan or Serie A. For that reason, I would rather have Amauri than Drogba, though much of that depends on crazy-man Zampa.

I will be cheering you on this weekend and I am as black and blue as they come (especially after the beating us Inter fans got this week =0) )

    So, Go Milan!
