Jeremy, got to agree with you on the buy back clause issue. As ive mentioned before, the fact that we may lose a number of the seniors after the summer Milan need new & young blood (ala Gourcuff). Gona hold back on labelling Pato (good or bad) for the time being though as none of us have seen what he can do for the team but if he helps us snag a Champions League place he will have my praises.

If im honest, ive been uncomfortable with our striker situation ever since we offloaded Sheva and this has still not been resolved in my eyes (again, this may happen at the weekend against Napoli depending on Patos’ performance). So may be we can live without Rossi?

Roy is spot on with regards to our current midfield, i feel it keeps the tradition of a strong midfield similar to the Gullit & Rijkaard or even the Boban & Albertini days, defence wise i would still want to keep Nesta tho and Kaladze did prove his worth last season against Man Utd.

I’m just kind of nervous/excited about the match on Sunday, talking of which does anyone know if it will be shown on tvants or espn as its not on the scheduled match in the uk??

Pato was a great buy. It does you no good to buy Rossi when Man U insists on a buy back clause. I dont think any player is a savior on this team for this year, but they will still finish 4th which is the goal. The fact they can afford to bring in the best talent in the world allows to be Champions League contnders every year. Pato is especially important as the club is clearly aging and needs young reinforcements.

if pato is half the player carlo and silvio are hyping up to be, then i will have no regrets about buying him over rossi in the summer. we have to invest for the future as well, and it would have been a shame had he moved on to play in the premiership instead. however, there was no reason why we couldn’t have signed both players, although i have to admit that the buy-back clause was a major drawback to the deal.

anyway, we missed out on a very good player, but we have more cause for regret over missing out on luca toni, who would have helped us out a lot more in the short term. or franck ribery. or buffon.

ugh i know… all summer, all i wanted wat rossi… the fact that he is a milan fan only made me want him to come here more… and what a steal it would have been… 7 million pounds is chump change…

3 years from now berlusconi will be bragging about the deal like he does about kaka, and how he got him for peanuts… damn.

Actually I like the way the midfield is shaping up, Gourcuff, Kaka, with Pirlo and Rino. I junt hope we replace the whole defence.
