Friday Milan Musings

Guess whos back?

null

Not only is he back, and supposedly ready for Siena. He is also ready to win a Champions Cup with AC Milan, and feels sorry for keeping Rossoneri waiting with his various injuries. Well Big Ron I have to say that your apology is not accepted from this tifosi and unless you put these team on your wide shoulders (or teeth) and carry us to some wins you are just expendable as your pal Dida at season end.

Do not expect to see the rest of the Brazilian trio this weekend, on the brightside this opens the door for Gourcuff and Paloschi. I always suspected Gourcuff as a wide midfielder but as I have read more about him I have found out that his strong suit is in the middle of the pitch. Join the club kid you and Clarence can fight for Ricky’s spot next season while Fester buys some wing players.

Forgive my cynical tone but this is part of the season, specifically the games before the CL fixture, that the Rossoneri go top four or bust. This basically means that it does not matter who plays, where they play, or how they play, they just have to win, hands down. Pirlo gets it, his consistency and ability are through the roof and it does not matter who Milan or Italy for that matter are playing against. That spirit must flow through the whole team, and not to sound philosophical but this is where the guys get tough and play.

Siena smoked Roma last week and unless Milan plays it smart they could have the same fate. They can not beat Siena around and score only once, they need to go for the death blow and fast. See you all on game day.

    Yeah that’s tellin him!
Put your money where your teeth are Ronnie!

We are basically at make or break time, both in Serie A and the CL. Ronnie really needs to pay back the faith & patience shown to him by both the club and the Milan tifosi by staying off the the physios table and re-producing the form he showed against Napoli.

As for the rest of the squad, Super Pipo is Go! (fingers crossed). We need Pirlo, Seedorf to shine as well.

I got to agree tho, if Big Ron dont sort it out by the end of the season, he’s got to go!

Milan’s top two GKs are a combined age 70.
The rossonerri should sign sign Amelia immediately. He wants to go to a top three club. Cesar is at Inter. Gigi is Juve’s rock. That leaves Milan. The dealings might have fizzled last time around, but from the rumblings I’ve read hear and there Amelia wants out, Livorno is willing to accomodate and Milan has the cash. Go for it. It would be nice to see an Italian between the pipes.

oh dear god, what the hell is wrong with Galliani, todays quote
“Frey is one of the strongest goalkeepers in the world but we will continue with Dida and Kalac”

“called Dida up this morning and reassured him about his position with the club. I told him that we think he is one of the best in the world as well as one of the best goalkeepers in Milan’s history”

The only game that R99 was 100% ready in, was the Napoli game and he did great, hopefully he’ll do good on Sunday.

Pippo & Ronaldo back in training. lool @ Pippo, he looks very excited and energetic.

haha, pippo was absolutely ridiculous. bless him, glad to have him back.

Ro, not gonna lie, you kind of slayed me with those pictures. Ducky’s adorable factor is off the charts. Especially in the last one.

Siena will own us if we don’t sock it to them first.

    Let’s do this.

Uh, who had the bigger gut in the video: Ancelotti or R99? As for Pirlo, despite him seemingly playing more competitive matches/minutes in the past 2 years than anyone in the world he still appears fresh and always full of ideas. I think it is because his footwork is so good he levitates on the pitch (and probably on water too).

So apparently according to La Gazzetta’s probable line-up, we arent going with the Christmas tree (THERE IS A GOD UP THERE!!!)

Kalac; Bonera, Nesta, Maldini, Jankulovski; Brocchi, Ambrosini, Pirlo Serginho; Ronaldo & Pippo.

Seedorf is still a maybe. i was hoping to see Gourcuff playing from start and Seedorf comes in later if he’s ready or anyone else. Defense looks pretty good, only if Oddo instead of Bonera, but still decent.
