Why oh Why?

By: Gianfranco | July 11th, 2007

I think it is nearly impossible to convey my disappointment and anger that goes along with these absurd Ronaldinho to the San Siro rumors. I am fully aware that these rumors have become less and less absurd, but the amount of money that Milan are willing to spend is ridiculous. ‘Dinho’s buyout clause is close to 89M pounds and Berlusconi has stated time and time again that he would be willing to pay that.

Let’s look at this with a critical eye. Milan’s needs are in the front, strikers, and in the back, wingbacks, instead of addressing those needs they are going to throw another mid into the mix. This means that Pirlo, Kaka, and Gattuso will now have a fourth running mate in Rolandinho. Goodbye Seedorf, and so much for the commitment to Gourcuff. Even if Ancellotti plays a lone striker either Ronaldo or Gila, I am leaning more towards big Ron; he can play ‘Dinho and Kaka behind him and then line up three midfielders in front of the defense. This makes much more sense and seems a bit more plausible with the players on roster but this system does not always prove successful. A guy like Big Ron is easily marked buy a class defender leaving Kaka and ‘Dinho with all that much more work, don’t get me wrong they may thrive in Seria A but class defenders will not allow that striker much success.

I am going to go back to sulking and hoping that this deal somehow falls through. I remember reading somewhere that ‘Dinho was dating Rijkaard’s daughter I really hope that whole rumor is true and that she is such a fine piece of ass that it keeps ‘Dinho at Barca, or Henry has a love fest with ‘Dinho and they have hopes of winning it all, I mean I am out of ideas here. Am I being irrational here? Should I welcome him with open arms? Its going to be a long day…

no, i dont believe anyone should be enthused about this… but i dont think this is going to happen and its probably just crap that the newspapers are making up, so i wouldnt be too worried…

on the other hand if it does turn out to be true then it may well be time to sound the alarm because this may completely mess up the balance of the team and chemistry is one of milan’s greatest strengths

Chemistry is huge at the San Siro and many clubs teeter on the brink of shambles when it comes chemistry I would prefer that not happen at Milan. Soon Gattuso will have to something to say about this and then we will know how the chemisty is affected due to his vocal nature about this stuff.

and lets not forget that 89 million pounds isnt exactly loose change… that would really mess us up financially and since we are offering him all his marketing rights, its not like we can make the money back… and the worst part is, ronaldinho is obviously soo talented that most clubs would be dying to be in our “predicament”..

I actually thought the marketing rights would belong to Milan which is why Silvio was willing to part with all that cash, I may be wrong.

well according to the less than reliable douche bags at channel four, we are prepared to hand over his entire image rights to him just to watch him do some stepovers… http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/jul11f.html
whats worse is that i cannot imagine this going down too well with kaka, and presumably he would want a similar deal, and if we wont earn anything from our two most marketable players, then the gravy train will be severly damaged.. which i cannot imagine being too good for us, its not like we have la liga-esque billion dollar tv deal

I didnt even consider Kaka wanting more money, that is probably why Kaka has yet to sign his new deal…this is getting a bit more interesting now.

kaka is supposed to sign a new deal when he returns from vacation.. which seems about fair. i dont think he would be so damn furious if we offered him an amazing deal maybe 50% of his marketing rights… he understands what all the other champions make and he would be ok with it. Unless ofcourse we get dinho and give him something outrageous, in that case kaka would probably not be impressed that we arent giving the best player in the world what the second best player in the world is getting..
