The Boredom is Killing Me…
By: Gianfranco | August 15th, 2007I do not even know what to write about anymore. I was tempting to start blogging articles about the youth soccer team I coach. There is only so much reporting I can do on Milan’s bipolar ‘Dinho love affair. I have no doubt in my mind that he will wear a Rossoneri jersey at some point in the future, I am just afraid he will have a walker by then. The only hope for me is that Silvio gets a man crush on some other Brazilian player.
Speaking of Brazilian player Milan have officially told Emerson to stay home, pause for applause. This is great news because it will allow Gourcuff and Ambrosini some more playing time, I was kind of warming up to the Motta idea but oh well.
In my last post I predicted ROMA to win the Scudetto and a few Roma fans, yes Roma fans, said they did not believe me. I thought I made my reasons fairly clear, so it leads me to ask who are your Scudetto favorites and why?

As being a Roma fan I will tell my vision of the matter. Yep, Roma has well attaking force and midfield, which was really boosted by summer transfers. But defense is still lacking figures. Also there is a great problem in the last barricade – its name Doni, and his successor Curci. Roma could play a fantastic game and than let 2 – 3 idiotic goals to happen and thus loose needed points. Also Roma’s problem – nasty motivation while playng minor sides, where they loose necessary points. If we could overcome these things, well, than we have a chance to get scudo to Rome. But seeing the intOr team names, especially the Suazo-devil makes me nervous.
My vision of the names:
intOr, Roma, Milan. But of course I hope your vision will dominate ^)Posted from

I’m not going to predict my scudetto out of respect for Roma and disgust for the favorites, but there are just too many questions regarding Roma right. Including:
i. The back line. Meaning if they can gel and if they’ll acquire a couple more names.
ii. How well Giuly and Esposito can perform. Neither had great years last year, or played much due to injury/The Messiah.
iii. Can the team stop dropping points against shitty teams, after somehow playing out of their skulls against the good ones.
iv. Will Aquilani finally step up and be the superduperstar he’s supposed to be (I know it’s not “finally” when he’s 23, but it’s about his time).
v. Can they even field a respectable starting XI with half the rosa on the trainer’s table. If they hit optimal level, then yes, they can walk through pretty much any team in Europe under The Poobah. But whether or not they can do it consistently is the biggest question.
But if they do finally hit consistently with Spalletti’s system, then my god, look out Serie A.

Oh yeah, there’s also Doni, aka the reason I will die of a heart attack by the time I’m 27.

Also, being a Roma fan, I do not believe they have what it takes to challenge the Serie A championship. I seem them contending closer to 4th or perhaps even 5th, if their pre-season is a taste of things to come. A top 4th finish would do well I think.
