It Appears to Finally Be Over…

By: Gianfranco | June 8th, 2009

“MILAN – From next season, KakĂ  will play in Real Madrid. A. C. Milan thanked KakĂ , the man and the great champion for his decisive contribution to the many victories we achieved in the six years of his commitment to the rossonero. The loss technique, while serious, can be remedied. It will be very difficult to fill the void that will be left by the man KakĂ , a shining example of commitment and professionalism. A. C. Milan, on behalf of the managers, players and supporters of the rossoneri, makes him the most cordial and affectionate wishes for the continuation of his sporting career.”

I have so many emotions going right now I am not sure whether to say thanks for the memories or good riddance! We sold the 2007 player of the year to hang our hat on an older more out of shape player of the year from 06!??!?!?! Only time will tell how this move pans out but for the moment we can sit and remember what Kaka has done for us and Serie A, and where his sale leaves a team, a league, and a country…

I will be back tomorrow with something more substantial…

Some of Kaka’s words, in press conference:

“Only small details were missing, such as the medical exams I passed this morning. The deal was sealed long time ago”.

I hope Barcelona’s hegemony will end in the coming years. Real Madrid will build a great team to win titles again, as it’s the club’s history.”

We can think that Berlusconi and Galliani had reached the agreement with the player well before Monday, but Berlu was pretending that he will make a phone call on Monday to Kaka and make the decision only then. Milan’s management knows how to feed bullshit to the fans.

The second sentence is irritating, how can you think of ending one team’s supremacy even without playing a match for your club. And talking of club’s history, does Milan has less history, I believe its still the most successful club literally, going by the number of titles, even though it doesn’t mean anything now!! (Without a trophy from the last two years)

And crossing machine, Beckham helped Kaka to make his decision.

I hope, let Kaka have a good career at Madrid, as he was the one I liked the most, both as person and a footballer. Definetly, both Milan and Serie A will miss him badly.

And I also hope Mr. Berlusconi and Mr. Galliani will make good use of the money.

Why is Pato thinking having an offer from Chelshit is a great honour?

I still have the last goal that Milan scored this season in my memory. Typical run by Kaka, a through ball, and an awesome cool chip by Pato.

I really do not want to miss Pato now. Will be very difficult to accept, without Kaka and Pato.

I would like to see Rhonie and Pato tear it up, next season and bring back trophies to Milan. Rhonie should take this as an oppurtunity, now that we he has more artistic freedom without Kaka.

And we have Gourcuff? Anyone knows what is the situation about him? Is anyone at Milan, even caring to bring him back?

Never knew about the Gourcuff deal. So how much dosh Berlu and Galliani got for this deal. How much more they need? I am going to kill them if they sell Pato. You need to develop some talent as well, not buy them always.(Well talent from Brazil!!)

So apart from Maldini, who are the other home grown players at Milan. I don’t know my club’s roster and their roots properly.

Lol And Beckham was great for the club right?
This is the most treacherous transfer ever, the deal has always been in Kaka’s hands, he probably accepted it in the winter when Man City came knocking. He’s not thinking of Milan, he wants to challenge Barca, he wants to play against Messi, credit crunch my ass, the guy wanted money and fame just like Beckham.

I guess Seedorf should be the captain?

k – “if this is true, then all the stuff about how ancelotti didnt do shit for players like Pato and Kaka as they were “natural” talents will be once and for all been proven completely false”

erm……not quite, its basic psychology mate.

Whenever a player, employee does well or highly outstanding they naturally attribute it to the manager they worked under

Has Drogba dried up since Mourinho left? No, but heck if he doesn’t contribute his success to the Special One

Its far more likely that having Maldini, Carlo AND Kaka go has been really disruptive for the team and im guessing morale must be pretty low at the moment

Knowing Baldy&Baldy they’ll probably use the money to buy:
    Striker: Romario
    Defenders: Roberto Carlos, Stam
    Midfielders: Michael Laudrup & Zidane

Pretty pessimistic I know, but an optimist is never pleasantly surprised.

R4L, I am afraid you have given them far to much credit. I believe Laudrup and Zidane can be easily replaced with one single Rivaldo, and surely we can do better than Stam, Roque Junior is somewhere is he not! And why sign Romario when Pele can be had for half price!!

Milan fans: sorry to learn of Ricky’s departure. I think Kaka was pushed out by force, I don’t think he wanted to leave.

    here’s a photoshop I made of Ricky with a “i belong to real” tee-shirt:

I’m a Roma fan, but i find this a huge blow for Serie A. Gone is one of the poster boys of beautiful soccer. There is also speculation that Pato is going to Chelsea, and seeing as he is Carlo’s prospect he probably will. You can have two outlooks
    1. that everything is doomed now that their gone and curse Ancelotti and Galliani
    or
    2. Be excited for whats to come next, a begining of a new era, just hope the Leonardo knows what he’s doing

i am extremely dissapointed with the ac milan administration.
they have let a god leave.
kaka is class apart,he does,nt need step overs to bambozle deffenders unlike some other players i could mention.
now that he is gone, there is nothing left of our foward line.
realistically how much can pato and dinho do…????
no matter which replacement gallini get it won’t be enough.

The dark times for AC Milan, the club, the players, the fans, are here. I was skeptic about our policy for years and now I think that we are near the bottom under the presidency of Berlusconis and Gallianis. The club may morally implode every minute. CL07 kept this wounded horse alive for two more seasons. But then again there was Calciopoli, coach, captain and stars are leaving, Oliveras, Viudez, grandpas and former stars are coming in, we`re listening to how hard it is in these times and in Italy, what next? Everyone are strengthening their squad, but we are weaker from hour to hour. They will buy something that`s for sure, but if there will be no “positive” results, the blame will elegantly go to the young coach who will not be able to exploit the qualities of Dinho, or what?!
    I`m depressed…
