Ya, I think Borriello was injured, his knees. He was taping them up at half, sat on the bench for a bit when subbed but left early to get treatment.

Ancelotti on Borriello
“I hope that its nothing serious. If it is a muscular problem he will not be available soon,”

hope borriello is fit for sunday. his partnership with pato and kaka is something to be excited about, especially hte attitude he is showing.

Oh shiiiiiiit!!!!!
Carlo on Borri “It doesn’t seem to be particularly serious and we’ll have to wait a few days to see the extent of the damage, but clearly he cannot recover for the derby,” revealed the Coach.”
I hope its just one of those tactical bluffs!

Ok so with Boriello out they’re gonna have to stick with x-mas!
Abbiati; Zambrotta, Bonera, Maldini, Jankulovski; Flamini, Gattuso, Ambrosini; Kaka, Seedorf; Pato

Lol thanks Gabriella, been a while since you’ve been over.
I hope so too, i remember the last time we played the merda we were in the middle of a turnaround and we kicked some butt.
We did great against Lazio but were so-so imo against Reggina so here’s hoping!

What a sloppy game!
Oh well 3 points is three points.
Ancelotti’s substitutions were questionable.
Seedorf had to leave. Kaka should’ve been taken out early to get ready 4 da derby.
Why is he sitting R80, but giving Sheva every opportunity?
This game was waaaaay closer than it should have been.
Seedorf’s miss was pathetic…It’s that sort of complaceny that has crept in to the style that we’ve been playing recently. (It’s like, if we score good if we don’t oh well)
He doesn’t seem to be serious enough, or doesn’t want it that much anymore. He had to bury that if it was 100-1, 1-1 or 1-100.
Pato & Boriello are tha REAL DEAL.
Reports are that Boriello is out for the next 3 games.
We’re screwed for the derby.

BigDawg4Milan - def a game i felt that we were kinda lucky in!
Dont kno about the barbs aimed at The Dorf, u cant write off his entire performance coz of a miss. Have u not being watchn the return of the Prodigal Son Shev??
And 4get Dorfs miss what about the chances Borri had both halves?! Doesnt mean u can say he played pants!
I did see the reports that we are gone lose Borri tho, got to say NOT happy with that, i wouldnt say we are screwed but its DEF gona be hard against the merda.
Pato has def got to be a starter, the real question is IF he gets partnered or will Carlo dust off the Xmas tree against the merda (i wouldnt think him crazy at this point!) its got to be Shev to sit with Pato on Sunday if we are gona have two strikers tho.
My bro wanted to see Dino come on for Reggina and I did think that maybe Kaka could have made way for him (like u said BigDawg, we really should have rested him for Sunday).
I can only think it was coz Carlo HAD to guarantee the points, especially in the run upto the derby.
Well here goes!
Forza Milan!

@ Avia I hear you.
It’s just that I see little things that Seedorf does/doesn’t do…and it frustates the HECK out me. (i.e loses the ball waaay too much, doesn’t run much, complains and stops playing when a call doesn’t go his way)
Yet through rain, shine, hail, mud or shit Seedorf plays.
Having said that he normally plays good on big games (CL, Derbies etc)so he should start.
But no he& Kaka will be busted for the derby on Sunday and will still get the start.
You’re telling me R80 could get the start against lowly Reggina, if for nothing else just to save Seedorf for the derby game?
With Boriello out, watch Sheva get the start over Pato whose scored 3 goals in three games. I fully expect Ancelotti to go to his x-mas tree formation.
But I think it would be a mistake. Our “D” conceeded to Bologna, Reggina & Genoa…so Inter are gonna score regardless of our formation.
So I say we play to our strength & put on 2 strikers and try to out score them 4-3 instead of trying to win 2-1.
I can see us scrambling to get a goal near the end of this game if we start Christmas tree.

@ BigDawg4Milan
Tru, one of my own big criticisms of the Dorf have been his Jekyl & Hyde performances. I see it like this, he saw Dino coming so played like a beast during pre-season to ensure his place in the squad, first match day and he even got to play with Dino (who played a blinder in his first match for us imo) but he totally stank, buuuut his performances since then have been on the up.
Tru, Carlo maybe should have tried Dino, it says alot about the fact that he didnt come on at any point, beginin to fink Carlo doesnt have enough faith in Dino yet (OR maybe Carlo was savn Dino for Sunday hmm?)
If we do go with xmas tree then maybe it is better to go with Shev from the start. The way i see it, if we havnt scored with Shev after 60+mins THEN put on Pato, the merda will struggle to keep up with our little duck (plus they will have run their legs off by then).
I think its hard to decide on the perfect formation for the derby:
1. Remember, the merda only just scraped it past Lecce, Mourinhos team arent “all guns blazn”
2. The Xmas tree MIGHT work because it will help us seize up the merda midfield engine (but we have no Pirlo! Who imo runs our xmas tree best!)
3. Mourinho likes a solid defensive team as opposed to all out attack, so even the 4-3-1-2 will struggle, I cant see us getting 4 past them but would love to see us go toe to toe!
Wooha! Just cant wait for Sunday!

I didn’t watch the game against Reggina, and was mad at myself for missing it, but after reading your comments, I’m not feeling as bad.
As for the derby, we can’t lose it.It is a do or die, and I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do if we lose.It will be extremely painful.Posted from

Scrappy win, but a win nonetheless. We have to learn to win ugly if need be. I was going a bit crazy since the satellite channel here kept switching between Milan, Roma, and Barcelona, and I was in a totally dodgy bar at midnight, but you do what you gotta do for the team.
Derby is going to be insane, excited as ever. First time in a while I feel like we’ll be going on equal standing. No excuses, we WILL win.
Forza Milan!

But wat? U not gona take the win right now??

A- Right now im happy to take the win, with the Lazio match we got a glimpse of wat this squad is capable of.
Right now we just cant afford to lose points to the merda, so i’ll take the ugly wins!

No like I said, at least they won. So, I’ll take it. The forwards didn’t exert themselves enough for most of the game for mine. Favalli has no business being in this squad let alone this team, he’s at the stage of his career when he should be at Reggina. Abbiatti needs to find some more bravery and fast. And the pitch was lousy and part of the problem.
