Christian you are right. We def. need a LB who will defend. Jank’s crossing is decent so we can convert him into a LM. I was thinking we could play a 4:4:2. Put Dinho/Janks on the left, Kaka and Flam/Ambro in the centre and Becks on the right, and 2 strikers upfront.

And for Gods sake kick Kaladze out first. Rather play Senderos. Bonera should be back next week. Thank God.

Wait. You guys are still hot and heavy favorites for the UEFA cup right? And the season is not over until it is over.

(I cant believe I am trying to cheer the Milan fans up)

Johonna, I don’t know about that. I personally think that a team’s form and morale spills across the mutliple fronts it wages battles on. However as a follower of Milan affairs, apparently the Milan of late (past 5 years or so) is more apt at knock-out style competitions. I think if they manage to bag the Uefa later this season, we can say the theory is somewhat valid.

Nothing you say will lift our spirits here, the team needs an overhaul before I’ll cheer up.

The season is far from over, but with regards to title shots, irrespective of the derby’s outcome, Milan probably lost the title 5-8 games ago.

agree with one of shingai’s earlier posts…its a loss, regardless of the ref and frankly, i still think inter could have made it much more…we gave them too many chances and our defence was woeful…am not going to blind myself to the team’s fault and go up in arms defending them just cause some idiot merda posters come on the blog and talk some crap….we had problems in defence (kala, janku, zamro and even maldini got owned), in midfield (pirlo and beckham) and pato tho putting in a great performance really shone when inzaghi came on…
the postivites to take out were dinhio, abbiati, pato and inzaghi as a super sub and our last 15 mins play…
hopefully now that the scudetto is out, we play flamini, mattioni, antonini and also figure out diff tactics for both kaka and dinhio on the pitch…

and if carlo really had guts, he would have subbed pirlo off and put flamini on at half time…anyway, dinhio was the one who was making the plays

and avia, its natural to feel bad that maldini didnt have a high note end to his amazing career (yes, like a soap opera!) but of course, nothing can ever ever take away from all that he has done in his life and certainly no inter player could ever hope to match that

Even though the defense was painful to watch, I couldn’t help thinking about what great moves Maldini still has and how much I enjoy watching him play not matter what the result.
My whole family thought the poor calls on the handball and the obvious penalty were crazy, setting aside some little things that also got called wrong. Might be a great ref, but not really tonight.
Beckham’s played too many games in a row after not playing at all the two months before coming to Milan. I was hoping it wouldn’t cause one more injury, but he looked like he was drooping since last weekend — in comparison with the way he was playing before anyway. Hopefully it is just a knock and he can make more of a contribution as long as he’s here.

Wouldn´t be a proper Inter win without the referees help, eh?

Figure if the refs are just rubbish, shoulda let Inzaghi´s wondergoal stand.

Overall, not a bad performance from Milan. We certainly didn’t deserve to lose, I’ll say that.

True that Inter could’ve scored at least 2-3 more goals, but I thought we had 2 good penalty claims. So, I guess it evens out. I’m not too disheartened by the loss, though. We are a good team. We just really need to fix a few holes.

Good point on the needs to get a central defender. Although, we have Thiago Silva, but with Nesta being as unfit as he is right now, hopefully we can get another one. I don’t mind getting Agger (as reported before). Another leftback would be nice, too; although, I think so far Jankulovski has been adequate.

Another thing is we may need another defensive midfielder.

One more thing, what happened with Adriano should really make FIFA think about implementing instant replay technology, or at least put another pair of linesman. If there was another linesman on the other side, he would’ve noticed that handball for sure.

    Capunk@…
I dont think we do enough to prevent Inter from winning last nite game…
Kaka absence have effected the pace of our midfields,Altough I feels we should able to at least get a draw…

I think Carletto have to show courage by playing 2 strikers rather than putting Pato alone upfront and Seedrof and Ronnie supporting him…
we wont play the same if Kaka wasn’t around to command the midfield…
The finishing touch might improve a lil bit if Carletto put Inzaghi as the penalty box striker and Pato doing the second striker work and at the same time he can drop in the attacking midfield area to play as what Kaka do when he is available….

or better to play Ronnie as the second striker and Pato play as the attacking midfielder and using his pace to penetrate Inter’s defense…
The most important thing is to stay within the automatic spot for the UCL next season…

I hate to say it but i think we need change in the coaching department…
the youngsters we have should have been given a chances to prove themself and so far Carletto is not using all the talent wisely…

    and one more thing…
    BRING BACK GOURCUFF!!!!!!!

I DON’T WANT TO RETURN TO GALAXY!!(DAVID BECKHAM)

David Beckham has admitted that he would find it hard to go back to Los Angeles if the Galaxy and AC Milan failed to come to an agreement over his proposed transfer.Beckham was speaking following his team’s 2-1 defeat to champions Inter in the Milan derby on Sunday that virtually ended Milan’s hopes of claiming the Scudetto crown this season. And while he said he had nothing new to add in the way of developments to his potential switch from the Americans to the Italian giants,
he left no doubt as to how he would feel should the move not go through.
“(There’s) nothing that I know of, not yet,” said Beckham who is desperate for a switch to Italy to enhance his chances of playing in the 2010 World Cup finals.
“I’ve said I want to stay here and obviously if I do go back it will be a bit difficult. But I’m always professional so we will have to wait and see when the final decision is made.
“I hope things go the way I want them to. I’ve already said that I want to stay, I’m enjoying my time here and hopefully I will (stay).”
“Talks have obviously been going on and on and whether talks will go on or not, everyone’s still talking about it. It’s out of my hands but there will be talks next week.”

Sunday’s result was a real blow for Milan and Beckham admitted that the title was starting to look beyond his team who are in third spot in the table, 11 points behind their city rivals.”We’re quite far behind, we were before the game started and we needed to win it,” said the former England skipper.
“You never know in this league, it’s up and down, you can win one week and play great. There’s a chance but it’s slim.”Beckham said it was an honour to have played in a Milan derby having previously played in ‘El Classico’ in Spain between Barcelona and Real Madrid and clashes between Manchester United and Liverpool in England.
“It’s one of the biggest games in football, sure it would be better if you win it. It was a tough game, in the first half we conceded two goals. It’s tough to come back from that,” said Beckham who was substituted in the second half.
“We played better towards the end and put more men up front and that caused them more problems.”They are all huge games, the biggest games in football and I’m proud to have played one in England, one in Spain and now one in Italy, but it would have been better to have had a different result.”

Im still really sad and dissapointed but we lost so all we have to do is accept defeat, and move on really yes the referees sucked.. but like i told myself yesterday after we played some wonderful football in the last 20 minutes; we only couldnt manage a goal simply because it just wasnt our day. sometimes Evil (with good fortune & help from refs) wins so life goes on in my opinion i may be only 17 and perhaps maybe the youngest member on this blog, but i see myself mature enough to accept defeat in grace.

and Ranjeet and Mohammad, you guys are thinking exactly like me. i actually thing the prospects of this team are looking good if another coach comes in. there are reports all around stating that Carlo will get the boot if we end up Scudetto less, so unless he performs a miracle he could be out. I think that Gourcuff should come back and take Seedorf’s slot. Kaladhze is a waste so when Silva’s available he should rot on the bench or go back to Georgia. we should sign new CB, LB and CF then Milan is back!

well its out of Beckhams hands now, but if this move doesnt materialise it wont be the end of the world for me. the man has done a lot while he’s been here and yes David has offered us some good moments; i just cant see him staying on a permanent basis thats MLS’s problem. the man is 33 years old for gods sake, yes he’s servicable but if Galaxy wont release him lets not spend an eternity on this; i say snub them and show faith to our youngsters, bring Cuffy and Abate back home.

Pirlo is my favorite midfielder in the world, but he reeeally needs to step up his defense. He plays great O, but is way too lazy on D. Refer to the Robinho goal, and the Stankovic goal.

if the game had been reffed decently….the game would’ve been between 1-1or even 2-1 for milan….th ref just stopped the game when there was a counter-attack or somethig like that….it seemed that the referee had been bought….and another crucial factor is that of kaka not playing….but that was all ancelloti’s fault…y would you play your tar players in a game with reggina when you know tht youhave one of the biggest games of the year in the next round…
