Maldini Monday
By: Gianfranco | March 30th, 2009Gattuso talks about Maldini…
“When I am tired or when I don’t fancy training I think about Maldini and Costacurta and that is all I need to rediscover my desire to play football. Paolo has been extremely important for me and my career. He is an example and I have watched him. He doesn’t talk that much, it might just be four words in an entire season, but those four words shake you up.”
Thanks again Sam!

Very sad news are that we will sell Ronaldinho in summer.

Pera- if Milan isn’t gonna actually run him out there, it makes very little sense to keep him when you could sell him and recoup some of the money spent. I am looking at it from the business side of things purely.
Ro- I am sure he has another nice WAG keeping him comforted…

I read somewhere that he was with Bobo Vieri’s ex Melissa Satta, but I don’t know if that’s true.

Yeah Chad i know that,i understand what you are saying but its just very sad i didnt see any player in my life who did what dinho had been doing. And when a player like him falls down then every football fan has to be far from happy no matter in which club he is playing and especially if that is our ACM

i dont think dinho will leave. But if we does, we can start the new era that we so desperately need to. With gourcuff, abate, kaka, pato and borriello.

Mourinho has been making comments that Inter need to develop young Italian talent to secure the success of the club in the future. If Ancelotti started saying stuff like this a following up with action then I’d support him staying as manager, unless he doesn’t make top 4 this season, ofcourse…

I am hoping Dinho goes. He is not needed here and he knows it. Even if Baldy wants him to stay,I think he will leave, unlike CrapDorf who is overstaying his welcome.

Kaka seems to be quite critical of the Milan medical staff in statements he made while with the brazil squad.

Fadayn this isnt the first time Kaka has been critical of the Milanello staff, even a few weeks back when he was subbed in then off he wasn’t happy that he was played, claiming he wasn’t ready. It is a tricky issue because Milanello has always been highly regarding and when I look at other clubs like Juventus and Roma who are also in bad injury shape, I wonder if Italy as a whole needs to re-evaluate their training and therapy methods as a whole.
In the summer of 07 my sister was doing a physio internship with Fiorentina, and even she couldn’t believe the polarity between some excellent excercise and training, but terrible practices as well. Really an interesting discussion but so hard to procure facts on. I would be curious to see how Kaka rates Brazilian physio staffs?

Nice relaxed interview The Irish Times did a couple days ago with Paolo. Touched on couple of interesting topics. Classy as always.

“Google trends anyone?”
Well, this is not something to be proud of or what. Except for the LPool-Milan final, its all about circus (Dinho and Beckaham).
But the interesting thing is that Milan line is in blue and Inter line in red!Posted from

Milams, true. But notice how the most searches come from Indonesia and Yugoslavia. (btw why do they say it’s Yugoslavia? Isn’t it Serbia/Montenegro?)
Re Dinho, he’s done. He will have peaks where he will do well, I’m sure, before he retires, but for the Dinho of Barca to come back, there’s no way that’s gonna happen. I’m not convinced his personality is the type that will bounce back to form.

Essentially, I think a player’s ’success’ is dependent on a few main things: natural talent/potential, personality, and environment.
Natural talent is obvious; some players are just technically better than others. Personality I think is underrated; a player with a lot of determination and confidence can easily do better than a player with much more skill, but no determination or confidence. Environment is also key, b/c there are players that might now have won tournaments but have an enormous amount of talent (Gerarrd not winning EPL).

Ricky has every right to be pissed and should force Milan to do something about it and if not blast them in the media, or even better just whisper to the boys at the Curva Sud and they’ll know what to do to Fester & Co.
