Just saw the last post and the debate is still going on over “attacking” or “balanced” formations. As you guys probably know I’m for the attacking side since balance seems to have earned Milan a grand total of 4 pts out of 12 against teams they should be beating, so far this season.

I talked about not needing to always play with more than two or even one specialised defensive midfielder a couple of posts back and brought up Argentina 94 as an example. Well, Basile is at it again and the current Argentina side which just a few days ago beat Uruguay in great match is playing with the class 94 inspired 4-2-1-3, the front four being Riquelme, Messi, Aguero and Tevez (that’s three strikers plus Roman!!) with Cambiasso and Mascherano behind them.

Milan can easily adopt this formation so as to play all their top players against those pesky little teams which give them so much trouble.
