Joseph, both you and I, and many of the fans here do not even remember a team without Maldini. That notion is so foreign to me it makes me laugh and cringe at the same time. But with every Maldini Monday that passes it means one less weekend of Il Capitano on the high road out of calcio, it is a scary thought, I just hope our humble Monday celebrations at least

I've begun a personal boycott of FSC because of their obvious bias towards the EPL and lack of respect and knowledge of Serie A. They hire plenty of English and even Scotish to analyze games but where are the Italians or even people affiliated with Italian soccer? How about doing a pre- or post- game analysis for our derby match, correctly described by the "beloved" Mex Bretos as "the biggest match of the European calendar thus far" (keeping in mind Chelsea-Man U played just a week before). It's incredibly disrespectful to a league that has arguably had the most exciting start out of the big four in Europe. Thank God for Verizon Fios and RAItalia.

I'm 19 and have only followed Serie A and Milan for two years now but I'm thankful for every game I get to see Maldini play in.

He's one layed back character that Maldini.

Just on the Cagliari game, I think the biggest culprits were the fullbacks. Christmas tree or not, Milan had the players on the park who should be able to beat the bottom of the ladder team but the fullbacks need to roam up and down those touchlines, they provide the width and extra man on overlaps so sorely missing in the narrow shape which Milan plays in attack. Without the overlapping fullbacks it becomes so much easier to defend against them. How many times did Milan break into the Cagliari half with Seedorf or Kaka in possession and in a good position only to look up and see wide open spaces on the flanks but no one moving into them? Then you see Zambrotta's lazy arse trodding up 30 secs too late. At least Zambrotta has the excuse of not having had a rest but Janks can't even fall back on that. Ancelloti should have played Antonini with instructions to join in the attack when needed, and started Zambro on the bench.

i once heard an announcer call Cagliari, Calgary as in Calgary, Alberta in Canada!! and the worst part is he kept going on and on about the city as if he`s the mayor.

soccer broadcast in North America is pretty weak, and we thought we had SerieA.tv to save us but they went down too.

And it turns out Milan was playing a team called cag-lee-ar-ee yesterday. The announcers cannot even pronounce the name of the other team let alone the actual players' names.

fg - if you think thats bad u will love the fact that whilst covering the recent Milan derby one of the fsc commentators on fox referred to AC Milan as the nerazzurri!
