Oh dear God…you’re right ronan. Nesta was always a given in my head, so I didn’t even notice his exclusion. But that doesn’t make any sense, does it? I mean…isn’t this the squad for the entire year of competition? Surely they would have included him anyway?

Hana- that’s the scary part!
this either means we actually wanna get knocked out of the uefa cup early… or it means they don’t expect to get nesta back anytime/ by january earliest. either way this freaks me out!!! i pray that senderos can come big for us, especially if we’re not gonna get back nesta really soon

Did someone just pray for Senderos to come big? Christ has the season already come to this? Not a good sign. Baresi still available?

Peter- prayers can help ok! n plus i’ve been watching senderos for a couple of seasons and trust me this kid can definitely get the job done. inconsistency has always been his problem though, afterall he’s really young. but wen on his game he has shown some true signs of greatness… so i’ll continue praying no matter what

To be honest, with Nesta out, Senderos has to come into contention, but im willing to let him play before i write him off.

does this 25 players list mean that they are the only ones who can play throughout the uefa cup? can we not change after the group stages?

on another note – my interista friends have been deluging me with jokes about our squad’s age – one i thought was funny in an unfunny way – ‘the trend in milan of players taking jersey numbers with their birth years – dinhio, flamini, sheva – is not a recent one as made out by the media – an example of this is maldini with his shirt number 03 signifying his birth year 1903!
i know, i know – its not nice but it is kinda funny – in a very sad way tho! apologies for posting this on the maldini monday post – and they did say that even they were impressed with his performance in the game on sun!

The roster can be resubmiteted at the end of the group stages so if Nesta is OK he will be back on sqyad. As for Senderos, we didnt get him to sit on the bench, so he better step up and play well.

MILAN – The list of 25 players: GOALKEEPERS: Dida, Abbiati, Kalac; DEFENDERS: Maldini, Kaladze, Zambrotta, Jankulovski, Favalli, Senderos, Bonera, Darmian, Pasini, Antonini; MIDFIELDERS: Emerson, Gattuso, Pirlo, Ambrosini, Flamini; ATTACKERS: Pato, Inzaghi, Seedorf, Borriello, Kakà, Shevchenko, Ronaldinho.

With the above list being submitted for the UEFA Cup, imo it begs a number of questions.
A. WHY O WHY is Emerson still in contention??
B. Why are the two guys from Uruguay missing as i would have loved to seen them being broken in in UEFAs junior competiton?

Avia, the only reason I can think of for (A) is that Emerson and Carletto have something going

Avia, you took the question right out of my mouth. SO STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a side note, what would have been the odds on the following teams not registering a win?
Milan, Roma, Inter, Juventus, Barca, Madrid, Chelsea, Liverpool
HELL!!! There goes my chance of becoming a millionaire

Rossoneri4life – that would have been a hell of a bet to place before the season started!
PS: u really in India?

Gian – The biggest question mark over this current squad is Carlo imo.
I was glad to see him spark up a Marly as i enjoyed thinking that he might be feeling the squeeze!

i think that emerson and carletto do have something going or maybe he has just lost his mind and thinks he is still good, the man looks around 50!

R4L,
that certainly did lessen the effect of the loss against Bologna for Milan as their only a point behind the main rivals.
I thought Milan played well and will certainly improve once Kaka comes back and Carletto permanently banishes Inzaghi to a impact off the bench role. The three newbies Dinho, Flamini and Zambrotta had very good games, esp the Brazilian who was creating all the goal scoring chances, and there were plenty. ‘Super’ Pippo and Shevramovic should be hung upside down from the Milanello rafters for week or two for failing to put away numerous opportunities which would have buried Bologna way before they scored that speculative second goal.

Avia the last time I saw Carlo smoke was a big CL quarterfinal win, maybe he needs those nerves back.

lol @ Gian!
Or he needs to stop smoking whatever is in those cigs!
i.e. Why did he play Pippo from the start? imo he is always wasted when he plays from the kick off.
He looks kinda lost, everyone knows that its best to put Pippo on in the 60+ min as he gets the better of the defenders then.
Why didnt Carlo play with two strikers from the get go??
It might sound crazy but Carlo should have started with Shev & Pato THEN subbed one of them for Pippo.
A – well said! your right man, def pinning my hopes on Kaka, i just pray that Carlo has pulled his head outta his *** so that he knows how to best make use of all the talent he has!
Still cant believe how many chances we just didnt put away, we genuinely should have buried Bologna by about 4 solid goals – Aaggghhhhhh!

julian on the italy offside discussing the games last week –
I have no idea what Milan’s problem is anymore. They have a goalie, they have the big name players… why couldn’t they beat a newly promoted side? It’s almost a rhetorical question at this point
OUCH!Posted from

I really don’t know what happened. I didn’t watch the game.
—
Dinho impressed. Now I’m eager to see Kaka and Dinho play together. Dinho made the chances, but there was no one to finish properly. Maybe Kaka can finish off some nice moves nice games…
