Well, I found the Maldini movie on BigSoccer.com (with subtitles no less) and it was just absolutely amazing. It doesnt matter which team you support, you cannot watch him play without being awed. I wonder, though, if a story like his could happen again. The young players today just seem so jaded and mercenary. Is there room in the modern football world with its multi-gazillion dollar deals for the kind of steadfast, down-to-earth, loyal, self-sacrificing player Maldini was and is? Boy, I sure hope so. I hope he takes up coaching next. I think he is an irreplaceable personality in Serie A (and this is from an Inter fan!).

lool i live in Toronto, went to Italy for the Derby and i thought if im already in Europe i’ll drop by Saudi to say hi to some family and friends and got stuck here for a couple of days, leaving in less than a week to Zurich then back to my Toronto

and for some reason i see a lot of the posters here posting from saudi, probably just me seeing thing lol

I was really confused for a while because I thought you (Fetyani) were in italy then going back to Toronto and here it says Saudi Arabia I was like huh?

Your right K even though Maldini mondays make me sad because knowing that he actually human and going to be gone in a few months it also makes me happy.

i know how you feel fetyani… the wierd thing is, that most kids outgrow the whole idol thing, because sometime while they were young their idols finally did hang up their boots… we havent had a chance to grow out of it and now that its finally time, its a lot harder for us because we have been watchin him for a lot, lot longer…

ps. off-topic, but what are you doin in saudi arabia of all places..

ill post the whole movie some time next week, as soon as i get back to Toronto.

my Maldini contribution this season was to get all 3 Milan jersey’s with Maldini on the back, but Milan Store only sent the home and third and now i dont have any money for the away =(. But for probably a long long looong period i will get a Maldini jersey every season.

it really makes me sad when i just think about the idea of him retiring. ever since i was a kid my eyes were on him, he was my first favorite player/idol and still is and will always be.

MALDINI IS MY GOD!!!!!!!
