I agree with JP..

Adam, I love Gattuso and he’s a monster in the midfield.. But considering form, age and fitness, Flamini would be the better option.. I dunno if Ancelotti is field the oldest players he has, but I certainly hope he doesn’t..

I love you Gattuso, but I’d give Flamini a starting chance.. See how it goes..

I agree with you all about the attacking options.. Imo, I believe the ideal team has 5 defensive players and 5 offensive, generally speaking.. So put Flamini in front of the defence and defensively you should be set.. Pirlo and Seedorf in front a bit, attacking from the center.. Not all out attack, just moving forward and creating plays, and moving back when we lose the ball.. I think that’s more than enough attack plus Kaka, X and Y..

X = new player, Y = Pato/Pippo/Borriello/Trans-man

Moka, I highly doubt Flamini will be a starter this season. Gattuso and Ambrosini will both start and Flamini will be subbed in. I think you guys really should of sold Gattuso to Bayern. It would of guaranteed Flamini a starting role and Milan would of gotten some much needed extra cash.

I agree with Sushan in regards to needing some midfield players who aren’t primarily defensive. It would be great to add Donadel, Montolivo or….Gourcuff! I still am angry about how he was treated. He was only given about 10 minutes whenever Carletto decided to throw him on. That’s hardly enough time for a midfielder to make an impact. But, when he did play, he always looked sharp and showed at least the capacity for good ideass. The thing is, Milan’s best players may not be here for very long. Whether it’s age or form, the likes of Seedorf, Gattuso, Ambro etc, will not be our best options for the starting 11. Milan and Ancelotti need to realise this and address the situation by bringing in “replacements” for those players. Let them play 20 games a year, gain experience and when Seedorf is 34 and out of form, in comes a 23-24 year old “Player X” with 40-50 games under his belt in all competition. It’s simple math really.

And gian pirlo hasn’t been that good in the serie a for the last two years, playing two dm’s has made pirlo look poor as it seems he has less creative options to make a pass at. Which is why i see the necessity of another attacking option in the team.

moka , we won the cl because kaka and seedorf were exceptional , truly exceptional and it was 13 game tournament- not to hard to play like that, eh? But we have been shit in the serie a for the last two years and it wont change if we play two dm’s

I think Pirlo’s ability makes it possible for Milan to play two DM’s. The guy is that good he makes up for it the lack of attacking options. I see Rino, Ambro, and Flamini in a rotation of sorts because Rino and Ambro were done and dusted by seasons end and Emerson and Brocchi were not the answer. Flamini is also a bit more of a hybrid player allowing someone like Seedorf to rest and Flamini can play in the middle with Pirlo a bit higher. Basically Flamini brings versatility to a team with very definite players and roles.

Well Sushan we won the CL with Ambro-Pirlo-Gattuso; Kaka-Seedorf; Pippo..

So technically 2 holding midfielders.. with player X, Seedorf will have to go back, which makes it a bit awkward.. One attacking player in the midfield, one defensive playmaker and one holding midfielder..

It’s awkward, but it worked when implemented (against Napoli)..

I am sure we will be playing with only one dm next year with us making another attacking acquisition. Frankly i would not want flamini on the bench since he is in his peak years and dm looks like a young players role. De rossi has replaced rino in the italy line-up (for the good most people may feel) and flamini would do the same in the milan line up

ps- i would like to see only one dm starting since i am irritated with our lack of attacking options last year and hopefully we will a new dimension to our attack this year

3 years? The way Gattuso plays, the way he must play, I give him another season or maybe two before a major decline. The signs were already showing in this season that he was declining.

Luckly Milan won’t be competing in the CL if they thought they will make a challenge there with Gattuso and Ambro again.

Peter, I apologize.. What I meant was that Tottenham aren’t from the big 4, so I would expect him to be less ‘demanding’, as he doesn’t have much to boast about.. But I might be wrong.. You never know.. Pato promised us CL football.. lol..

Sheva is a good option, but look at his age.. He isn’t the long term attacking solution..
