Maldini Monday

By: Gianfranco | December 24th, 2007

For the second Maldini Monday I want to show one of my favorite commercials of all time. A Nike commercial for Euro 96 featured Il Capitano in grand fashion, starting a counter attack against the squad of evil with a trademark slide tackle and a cross out of the back.

Enjoy and have a fantastic HOLIDAY SEASON.

As always share your Maldini memories and check back here to see if they made it up.

Must be fairly old. Ronaldo looks like he only weighed 250 LBS when this was taped….Very cool commercial. Thanks for sharing…

i was just watching on Saturday Maldini Il Film, definitely a must see movie by all soccer fans, especially all milanisti. interviews with other players, Buffon talks about the CL pens, Cesare Maldini, Paolo’s family, Vieri and others. they start from his debut to 2004 i believe. the way it was directed was amazing, they should either make another one or add to this one and edit it. 2 hours of pure Paolo Maldini :)

Fetyani, Maldini Il Film is one of the most amazing movies I have ever seen. It is awesome to see the respect Paolo commands from what seems like every person in the soccer world. The video footage and the music are absolutely awesome as well, I wish I could show pieces of the film on Maldini Mondays, but it is defintely a must see for any fan of Milan, Maldini, or the game in general. I will discuss the film at length at one of the Maldini Monday posts.

Ro the move is called Maldini Il Film and can be purchased on Amazon, I believe. The problem is the encoding is for Europe so you will need a PC capable of playing that region’s video. It is well worth the struggle.

Well I don’t think our computer is one of those because we bought a movie of comedians that are my dad’s fave and it didn’t want to work…(cry)…anyways fetyani if you could do that I would be enternaly grateful.

By the way has anyone see the video from another movie they did there was sheva, costacurta, ambro (who was hilarious) and Dida.
