Thanks for the heads up, Fet! Though I will miss the Google translations, they were so amusing.

Forza Paolo! Il Capitano per sempre.

Lets Hope Maldini is back next year. Age does not matter and he is better then what they have now so bring him back. He should be on every all time XI no matter who is picking it.

BAD NEWS. Kalac got injured on his right knee, he’s out. he’ll be evaluated tomorrow.

Good News. Kaka & Seedorf will be fit to play against Sampdoria.

Badass video for a badass captain. Much love. Please, please come back for another season so we can give you the last season you deserve. PAOLO MALDINI PAOLO ALE!

Haha, “Of the Piero”. Ohh, gotta love it. Yeah, I heard about the Gazzetta, it’s pretty spiffy so far, me thinks.

Gian, you will remember that on a number of occasions i have been vocal in my admiration for our great captain but also have been quite clear in my opinion that he should leave at the end of this season (gasp!).

The reason for this was that i felt (at the start of this season) there were expressions of Maldini “soldiering on” through the pain of sore knees along with my concerns that younger guys might start to get the better of him.

But i have to recant; some of his performances in the past month have been a true example to some of his team mates with regards to the level of commitment that is currently needed! (Rino take note!)

I can still see the little nutmeg and run he made only a few weeks back that put a far younger player to shame (Bellissimo!).

If Maldini wishes to stay however, it should not be used as an excuse NOT to invest over the summer.

We cant seriously expect him to play EVERY match next season, so he will need back up in his position. I say wheel him out for the mega important CL and Serie A matches against the big guns. (Yes, i still think we can get into the CL!)

And IF Maldini can use his promise of staying on for another season as a bargaining chip to ensure the management spend heavily over the summer, well, i hope he does!

I have been lucky enough to see the peak of Maldini not just for the Rossoneri but also for the Azzuri and i genuinely cherish some of these memories as i truly believe that we will never see the like of him again anywhere (never mind at the same club).

Forza Milan………and Forza Maldini (for another season at least!)

Avia, great post and Maldini should use his return and make it contigent on OL’Berlu opening his wallet. No money, no return!

I have to agree that that man is one of kind, with no equal, and if anyone ever says anything different you politely say “worlds greatest defender, EVER”

Erm…except, he’s definitely not new? Yeah, he plays for the primavera, and according to wikipedia, isn’t on loan anywhere. I’m all for giving new in-grown talent chances a la Paloschi, and it’s a good direction but…the Milan Head Honchos better not believe that we’re even remotely satisfied with this. I mean…really.

In other news….ARGH! I hate to do this to you guys, but here it goes:
MILAN - A.C. Milan communicates that Zeljko Kalac has suffered a trauma to his right knee during today’s training. He was immediately subjected to cures. His condition will be evaluated tomorrow.

Beautiful. BEE-YOO-TEE-FUL. Why does being a Milan fan have to suck so much right now?

Also, why does he official site have to make every single bit of news sound dramatic? “The declarations of so and so…” and “Insert cheesy quote here that supposed to make Milanisti feel better”

    Bitter? Me? Never!

Darmian is actually a very good player, with a ton of upside. He has a Nesta type build, and has been rated highly by the likes of Calcio Italia magazine. Also has anyone else noticed that Kalac gets hurt at practice, but never in the game.

Great video. I can remember that headed goal against Napoli like it was yesterday. They went on to win 5-0 that day against a very good Napoli side.

if milan dont make it to the champions league all will not be lost. look at the bright side, you can focus on the league and maybe the management will tak note of what bayern did this season and get u guys some much needed reinforcements. a year a way from the champions league is not so bad, juve and bayern are doing great and if bayern were in the champions league they could of probably won it this year. I hope milan does qualify because maldini more than deserves the perfect retirement; another CL trophy, Scudetto, Coppa Italia, and any other trophy milan can play for. Maldini is a living legend and nothing less.
    Forza Juve!!!

adam, the fact that bayern munich could have possibly won the champions league this year gives them all the more cause for regret for not making it there. missing out on the competition is so unnecessary when you can rebuild and not skip a beat.

Isn’t it suspicious how there are always rumours about Juve or Inter going after some noteworthy players but nothing on Milan?

Apparently Juve are after and almost have in the bag Amauri AND Diego and the best that the rumour-mongers can attribute to AC Milan is an ex Roma keeper turning into an icicle in Russia.

    It’s depressing really.
