The most interesting battle is Arsenal – Milan, as for me. Young talents against very experienced players + Kaka! Who will go to the quarterfinal? I think this depends on managers mostly. If Arsen Wenger can overcome Karlo Anchelotti in tactics and the whole strategy on two matches, then Gunners will break through to the next round. And vice versa

For this is an extremely tough chioce, as we have four wonderful players that are all capable of leading this team to victory. Ambro, Gattuso, Pirlo or Nesta. It’s almost an impossible chioce as each players holds a different quality that the others don’t.

Ambro- the man is a legend at the club, he has been at Milan for 12 years. He knows the in’s and out’s of this club. When he had the opportunity to leave, where he was guaranteed a starting spot, he never left as he love sthis club and always wanted to write his nam ein the history books.
He is vocal and is always battling hard in the midifield, even when at times it looks impossible, he is a player that will never give up. This is a quality a Milan captain needs.

Gattuso- Of Course is also a player that never gives up, but he can over baord sometimes and get himself suspended for important games and all.
He is a player that not only get’s the team working but he gets the fans working too and it’s his passion and grit that is world class.

Pirlo- is a silent leader and as already said, he commands respect. He is perfect except my only worry is that he will be over powered when times get tough or when there is a fight and he needs to intervene and take control.

Nesta- well we all saw him at Lazio, what can we say. He will rise to te occassion if given the armband. I always like having the defenders as Captains, since defence is such an important part of the Italian game, but with or without the armband Nesta still leads the team from the back.

Right now Ambro is my first chioce

I think Ambrosini should be played more times, he’s got good fitness now, and he should be captain in 4-1-2-1-2, with Seedorf as the attacking Midfielder and Kaka as second Striker who plays to the wing, and at rotational times, Kaka can replace Seedorf while he rest and we can use two strikers, whoever the coach will choose.

Rino can be a bit too emotional and unwise sometimes, I think it’s a factor, It’s not that we should count him out, cos I remember Roy Keane who can get even more emotional than Rino, but is a good captain.

Ambrosini fits the bill because after Maldini, he’ll probably be one of the Old Guards at the club (the other being Gattuso, of course). My idea of a captain would be a player who commands respect from his teammates and such respect comes from the ones with most experience playing with the club, which Ambrosini possess. When he first arrived in 1995/96, he was as quiet as we know Pirlo today. He’s definitely not like that now.

Gatusso would be the next candidate due to first, his fiery spirit to keep the team going, and second, his seniority at the club. He can keep the team going, definitely, but in terms of organizing the players on the field, Ambrosini is the man.

I won’t vote either for Pirlo or Kaka, not yet. Pirlo is an ideal choice if we talk about the ability of the player to manage the tempo of the game. However, being such a quiet individual, he doesn’t have that quality to be the captain, yet. But definitely, together with Ambrosini and Gatusso, he’s already making himself a symbol of Milan.

As for Kaka, he’s still in the media spotlight and not that I’m against such spotlights. He still needs to mature as the manager on the field if he wants to wear the armband.

The other person whom I think would fit to be Milan’s captain is Alessandro Nesta. He’s been Lazio’s captain and have also led Italy, and the way he commands the backline during games says it all. Besides, didn’t the last two captains we had come from the heart of defence?

its gotta be gennaro… as mentioned earlier, i dont think pirlo is vocal enough and nesta was a lazio symbol… ambro i would be equally satisfied with as he has done a good job…
kaka is far too young for this responsibility and even though he has always shown a good amount of maturity, it has to be a natural progression. if he continues like he has for the past 4 years for the next few years, i could definitely see him as captain..

Im going with Gattuso. He has more of a commander spirit, Pirlo is usually a quite player. and id like to see Rino be our next captain until he retires, just the thought of Il Capitano Ringhio makes me happy and excited. Honestly, i dont like the idea of Kaka taking the armband from anyone, its obviously all about marketing.

In other news, Seedorf, Pato & Kalac are all called up for the Arsenal game AND all trained today, some more than others.
