I thought the 1st video was the Milan-Barcelona game in the CL 2000-01? It ended 3-3, no? Albertini scored two goals? Or I must have been hallucinating…

Definitely one of the most underrated midfielders. I still wear the number 4 on any of my jerseys when I play. Orlando’s substitution to make way for Albertini’s debut still plays in my head.

NO WAY GF…this is prob the one (and maybe the only so far!) thing that i cannot agree with you on…we need to buy a young CB who we can use over the next decade or so and why do we need panucci to groom when we have maldini and nesta?

The one thing Milan *don’t* need at moment is more experience. Why give a 35yo a two year contract when you could find another young player to add to the roster?

Panucci would add depth, and experience to help bring along some of the youngsters Darmina and Antonini, and even Digao, eww Digao. By the way if Kaka does go to Chelsea Digao should have to go with him.

Panucci was supposed to be the heir to Maldini along with Coco. He is a great defender and has a way to much class for Roma. He left Milan with Cappello, and like Cappello has never returned, but I would be for it if he did.

AC Milan have made a shock transfer bid for Roma veteran Christian Panucci, according to Il Messaggero.

Roma’s veteran defender Christian Panucci could be lured to Milan, according to rumours in the peninsula.

The 35-year-old is currently at Trigoria with the rest of the Roma players who began their pre-season training earlier this morning.

However, according to Il Messaggero, he could leave his teammates to return to Milan, where he plied his trade between 1993 and 1996.

The paper suggests that the Rossoneri have a two-year deal waiting for the Azzurri star and that Vice-President Adriano Galliani has made contact with his Giallorossi counterparts to discuss a possible transfer.

Panucci’s current contract at the Stadio Olimpico expires at the end of June 2009, which would leave him without a deal at the age of 36.

A switch to Milan would provide Panucci with the security of an extra year’s earnings and would ensure that he could close his career at the highest level.
