Milan 0 - Empoli 1, DISGUSTED
By: Gianfranco | October 21st, 2007Disgusted is the only word I can possible use to sum up that game. I will admit for the first ten to fifteen minutes of each half Milan really kept their foot on the gas and showed some good sustained pressure on Empoli’s goal. The problem with the pressure that Milan was giving was that it was non-threatening and not deep enough to test what really turned out to be a formidable Empoli back line. Take note Uncle Fester those backs may need to be on your shopping list in the future.
I do want to give some praise to Empoli who stood their ground and made good on their opportunity on Dida. On a side note, Dida’s facial expression was that of a broken man today, I could not help but feel a little bad until I remembered he was a cheating, diving bastard. It is virtually impossible for a team to succeed when they have to bust their ass when it’s zero and then work harder to try to get a draw. The squad cannot continue on like this. To make matters worse Carletto’s subs in the 60th minute were Gourcuff and Brocchi? I would have preferred Gourcuff started in the Kaka spot; I liked having him in there even though he did nothing, but if you are a goal down why would you make your eleven more defensive? Last season I was big proponent for firing Carletto but the more I like at his 22 man squad the more I want to place the blame on the management. I do not even know what this team’s philosophy is anymore, are they counter-attack, defensive minded, just plain crap. I am starting to lean towards the last one.
As I said in yesterday’s preview this was a crucial game to take three points from, now it is imperative that they get six in the next two. If they do not then they can kiss the scudetto goodbye, I mean they have not even sniffed at the big clubs yet and they are floundering, what happens when Napoli comes into your crib and drops four on your ass…things are not looking good.
Shaktar comes to town this week in CL play. I expect very close to the same lineup as today except with Maldini maybe resting, he did not look comfortable today, and Kaka in place of one of the strikers. It is getting harder and harder to be optimistic for these games, the run of play has got me wondering what is next…

it is the managements fault. that bald f%*k is the cheapest and laziest bastard out there.
carlo asked for toni and ribery, who does he get? another hyped up brazilian who still has acne on his face.
its all galliani’s fault, and berlusconi’s (for stopping buffon from coming). i hate that bald motherf**ker.
carlo is not to blame, he remains in my opinion the best coach in the world. he needs the players. and right now its our attacking department that is lacking. carlo knew this and asked for reinforcements. he didnt ask for a kid that would be illegal in most states, we’ll leave those for the pedophile at highbury.

i think you are far to optimistic gainfranco…. the scudetto dream is over…. we dont stand a fuckin chance… 10 points behind at this stage of the season… unless all the teams start pulling what should now be referred to as “a milan” we dont have a chance….
ambro as a striker?! really?! didnt that moron berlusconi and his bride’s mate galliani say that we absolutely do not need another striker?! rite… coz we didnt realize that we had a world class striker named ambrosini within our squad… its gettin really depressing now..

i dont blame Carletto solely. the transfer guru are the main ones to blame, then the players and lastly Carletto.
Because honestly, i know we shouldnt be this bad, but if Ancelotti had better players on his squad he’d do much better. The thing with Milan they dont publicize the inside stuff, so we dont know who Carlo really asked for and whatnots. Since the calciopoli, we had one objective, bring in a world class/goal scoring striker and what did we do? NOTHING!

It’s not just the management. It’s that the whole team is playing like sh*t. I’m terrified. What happened to them? Champions of Europe? Coming back from -15 pts to the top 5? I’m not losing faith, I bleed rossonero, but this is really bad. There need to be some big trades this January, that’s for sure…

well i for one have serious doubts over the management skills of carletto at the moment… and i have got to say that i did not doubt him more than once last season… but exactly why did we not play gourcuff from the start?! carletto is great, but he needs to put faith in his younger players… that being said, playing ambro as a second striker is based on lack of options, and that is the fault of moron number 1 and moron number 2… i dont know if i can blame the players… honestly when i watched the game it didnt seem like they werent trying, gila was constantly running, as was oddo who placed quite a few decent crosses in the box… pirlo had too many misplaced passes imo, but they were looking as desperate as i felt… its just that we dont have the kind of players we need… asking gattuso and ambro to be our offensive force is just not good enough… ambro provides an offensive force as much as he can, but that is a secondary aspect of his game, not primary…
ancelotti asked for players like ribery, henry, eto’o and i can imagine that with those players on the pitch, this discussion would have never happened… but that is not what he got.. not even fucking close… the blame falls entirely on tweedle dee and tweedle dumPosted from

What the heck is wrong with Milan!!!
Its not the carletto’s fault, its galliani he doesnt know a crap about the situation of milan and modern football for that matter, Anchelotti just has to work withwhat hes got.
I’m sorry guys, but milan appear to be well and trully out of this race.. Unless they win every game for the next 10 or so games. I mean why dont milan ever set the goal to actually win the serei A huh.. they always are so complacent with getting in the top 4. And right now thay cant even do that!!

Carletto had a nice shopping list this offseason and the brass had the money to get what he wanted but instead that forced him to go watch Pato in Montreal until he just said he OK. He even then lowered his wish list to attainable guys like Roque Santa Cruz and still he got nothing. It is disgraceful, January needs to be a big time money spending month at least for the sake of winning in Europe.

the management had all summer to get a decent striker, but they were just thinking about Eto’o and Ronaldinho!! then after a long struggle, they decided to announce that they’re happy with the strikers they have!!
