Carletto Leaving…

Can we just stop for a moment and consider how many of us at one point or another called for Carletto’s head? It is OK be honest, I was not his biggest believer, but have come around strong lately. Let us consider for a moment the plight of AC Milan. Sure injuries are a problem at every club, but when three of your winning eleven are lost for the campaign, and not just role players but pivotal key players in Nesta, Rino, and Borriello and this team still has a very slight, OK extremely slight, chance at fighting for the title is a small miracle. His insistence on Seedorf over Dinho has paid dividends in the win column, granted not in the beautiful football column, but they don’t keep score of that. His placement of Janks in the mid and Flamini at RB at pivotal times proved masterstrokes, and for a guy who, “Doesn’t coach youth well, “ he sure seems to have done A-OK with Pato. Being critical of Carletto is one thing, but dismissing him is all wrong. If we lose Carletto we can kiss a title run goodbye because there is no one better at the moment to replace him, and for those that want him gone, do you think Chelsea and Madrid want him because he is a good coach or because he looks silly in winter hats, you decide.

Inter…

Five games left, fifteen points up for grabs. When you look at the fixtures for the final stretch of the season Milan by far have the harder of the two schedules with Inter running into teams that are complacently stuck firm in the middle of the table while Milan have some tough games against Udinese, Juventus, and Fiorentina. Seven points stand between Milan and a title, and frankly stranger things have happened. Inter really have nothing left to play for and they will have to get geared up week in and week out to get the job done, question is can the rest of Italy and I mean you Lazio, Atalanta, and Siena get geared up as well! Milan knows what is as stake, and frankly the next five weeks are going to excellent.

Flamini…

I personally don’t think enough is being said about Flamini stepping up and helping this team out the last few weeks. He has played at RB quite well, and despite not being what he wants to do he has really taken one for the team in this regard. Is he the future RB, probably not, but if it means having a solid backup in a pinch when the team needs him then I am all for it. Nice work Mathieu, your welcome to the team moment has finally come!

Adebayor…

Adebayor has come out and said that having a club like Milan interested in him is like having Beyonce interested him. Now I am not the biggest Beyonce fan, but if Megan Fox came calling (sorry ladies you get to look at footballers all day, and today I want to look at Megan Fox) then I see his point. Big rumors abound in the last few weeks that Milan will offer 25m and the youngest Aubamayeng brother to Arsene Wenger for the services of Ade. Wenger gets money and a young French striker, seems like a match made in heaven. Granted this will all be a lot easier if Arsenal win the CL and Adebayor wants to move onto to a new challenge, go Gunners!?

Seedorf…

I don’t want to come across as a Clarence sympathizer here or even a big fan of his, because I never really have been. He has always been a good soldier with a bit of big mouth, but he plays good football and keeps himself in good shape and focus to be dependable. His performances of late have not been all that good and I as pointed in the match recap his service and choice of receiving the ball has not helped his cause, but when stacked up next to Dinho and considering Milan’s style of play and recent success, you don’t have to look to far to see that Clarence is the better fit at the moment. So we may as well get behind him, or leave him alone, because he doesn’t look like he is going anywhere in the next five weeks, matter of fact as long as we keep winning, I really don’t want him to go anywhere.

I would agree with you avia, but ade has all the characteristics to be the next drogba. If you guys remember when drogba first came to the epl, he had had 2 pretty average seasons until he exploded. That was around the age of 27 or so.

Ade is fast approaching that age, and big strikers like that tend to peak later and maybe we can hope that he will do that at Milan.

Like every transfer, its a gamble. We have taken worse gambles before, look at Gila, or the gamble on dinho returning to peak fitness levels. IMO this is much less of a gamble than either of those.

k – i like Ade & Drogba, but Drogba is far better at bullying his way past defenders

I see them as two differnt kinda strikers tbh

Drogba was a proven product b4 he joined Chelsea (ask any Marseille fan) Ade i dont see in the same light and is Carlo REALLY the coach who will add the finish to Ade (ask Gila) and the answer is NO!

well, if you ask pato, inzaghi, sheva, kaka, i would have to say that ancelotti is that man. You wont give Ancelotti the benefit of the doubt, so I am not going to bother trying. He has coached 2 players to a ballon d’or, I for one am not doubting his ability to add the technical finish to a player.

Also, if you ask me, Ade has proven more so far than drogba did at Marseille. He has scored plenty in the EPL and has a few in the CL too..

Drogba has the experience, but Ade is still young.

“Ade has proven more so far than drogba did at Marseille”

    REALLY??

Ade is still a good way to equaling Drobs but like u mention, he still has time on his side, Drogs maybe 2/3 seasons more before he drops off

    Yeah, avia i really do.

By 25 drogba’s best achievement was his 1 year at marseille scoring 19 goals in 35 appearances. his previous two clubs were le mans and en avant guingamp.

By 25 Adebayor has played 3 seasons in one of the top three leagues in europe in one of the top teams in europe and has scored 46 goals in 103 appearances.

Of course from then on, Drogba has gone from strength to strength, but we cant compare the two right now. Drogba is at the peak and maybe even moving past it while Ade is still approaching it. I would take Ade over Drogba right now.

We already have a striker for the future (Pato) Drogba is the way to go for an “off the shelf” striker

Why not just go for Bendtner and let Carlo “develop” him?

they both suck. and its not like carlo is taking these guys as 9 yr olds and coaching them. does any of you really think he’s coaching players at milanello? that’s not how professional football managers work, he’s a manager not a coach.

I think he is coaching. I have been to the training camp in Dubai this year and last year. It sure does look like he is coaching the players and as are tassotti and the other assistant coaches.

The managing part i think is left largely to Galliani. Its not like the EPL where Ferguson is both coach and manager.

I’m shocked to see some of you support dinho then in the same phrase say adebayor sucks?! Does you calender say 2005! Do you even watch matches, appalled frankly. If Milan has a chance to get adebayor we should be thrilled, when else can you a bring in a versatile premeir strike on the verge of awesome. Watch him next week then we can talk…

I dont like Adebayor, but if we signed him,i can accept it.
A more clinical finisher would be better though. Bendtner is rubbish, and is the last striker on my Milan striker wishlist. Drogba us getting old. Getting him in 2008 would have been good.

I have NO problem with Ambrosini wearing the captain’s band… but if not him then W/O doubt Gattuso

I am ALL for Adebayor being brought on! always have been.
I would take Eto or Villa if not Ade… but don’t think we can get those to, so Adebyor will be fine.

    FORZA MILAN.

    one more thing.
I think Ambro rightfully gets the band.
Rino should be allowed to get as fired up as he needs to in order to provide the team with that fight mentality!
He shouldn’t have to worry about toning it down.

Giving Ambro the captain’s band equals giving him a almost guaranteed starting spot in our midfield. With everyone fit,he may not start sometimes. While he deserves it,someone like Pirlo,Kaka or Rino, who are sure to start if fit, might be a better option.
