It still hurts…
By: Gianfranco | May 21st, 2008Since 1990 no team has been played in more CL matches than the Rossoneri so I would like to think that it is within our rights as tifosi to discuss CL football, and be somewhat of an authority on the subject.
On the other hand, as many of you may or may not know I am a closet Chelsea fan, it all started with Sheva’s move but ends with stunning play of guys like Essien and Drogba! So naturally I am pulling for Chelsea but because of work I could not watch the game until later so I am closed myself from the outside world and I am now watching the game with my trusty self and want to make a few observations. I know they are late but I hope they are still entertaining as you imagine me not knowing the result.
-Essien is proving to be a handful for CRon even though he got the goal. He is keeping him under wraps, but it is limiting Essien’s ability to get into the attack.
-Where is Rooney, I had a discussion with a certain Arsenal fan who believed Rooney was the key for ManU, not much of key if you don’t touch the ball.
-Petr Cech is a beast!
-This ref is letting a lot of calls go for the Red Devils.
-Can you imagine Ferdinand and Terry or Rooney and Lampard in England camp next week; it has to been awkward for the loser.
-Clarence is a fantastic commentator in any language, if you though he was good in English, you should hear him on ESPN Deportes.
-Drogba is so dangerous, his shot out of nowhere off the post was just awesome.
-Avram Grant makes two positive subs with Anelka and Kalou, could it be his is trying to outfox SAF. On paper Grant wins the subs battle, why would you take out Rooney in a game this big?
-The Chelsea v. Pool extra times spoiled us, as these minutes seem to not get through the midfield. Lots of back and forth with very little positive possession.
-Ballack where have you gone?
-Drogba from 28M literally pasted that ball, if Pirlo has finesse, this man has raw power.
-Tevez is a beast coming back to defend and still moving with pace.
-THIS FIELD SUCKS!!!!!
-I know why Cech wears the helmet, and his injury was horrifying, but it still makes me laugh every time I see it.
-Cramps anyone…?
-Wow Tevez is picking fights, but it’s John Terry who seems to be making all the noise. This ref didn’t exactly do much to keep the boys in line now did he. Instead he throws three cards Ballack, Tevez, and Drogba. Quite frankly Drogba deserved it, what is he thinking in the biggest game of his club career to raise a hand, I am having a really hard time making sense of this right now. I am in complete disbelief watching Drogba walk off the field.
-Awesome, this ref has lost all control.
-Still can’t believe Drogba, really pissed at him for losing his cool.
-Should have gone with Sheva over Anelka. Anelka looks paralyzed by fear.
-Can you imagine Ferdinand and Terry or Rooney and Lampard in England camp next week, it has to been awkward for the loser.
-Nani with some fancy footwork.
-Grant does not add Sheva into the mix with his last sub, instead he chooses Belletti.
-The most nerve racking minutes in sports. Advantage to Cech in this one as the better GK in my eyes, but Man U gets to remove their weakest shooter because it must be ten against ten, so Van Der Sar won’t be shooting…
-Well Grant clearly put Belletti for this purpose, and he was money in the bank.
-CRon time, a repeat miss would be FANTASTIC, CECH!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, illegal kick anyone?!
-Advantage Blues.
-The CL trophy on Nani’s shoulders, GOAL!
-JT now with all the pressure, have to say I am bit nervous, fave team or not these PKs are nerve racking. WOW! New life for United. He slipped so awfully, such poor luck.
-Can’t say I have any confidence in Anelka right now, why not Essien? I WAS RIGHT.
DISBELIEF…

Gian, u are a closet chelsea fan?! nooooooooooo!*shocked* i should have guessed it though. chelsea have been pretty good i guess over the past few seasons… at winning ugly!!!
i’m soooo happy Man U won! i’m an open man u fan since after all they we’re originally my fav team. but then i started following club footy seriously with a wiser mind n gladly became part of the rossoneri faithful
milan are now my one and only but man u is in a VERY VERY VERY DISTANT 2ND PLACE for me

i wanted Sheva to play so bad, i was pissed when Belletti came in. no matter what, after watching and loving the guy for 7 years, you can’t hate him, just angry that he’s not with us anymore.
Ringhio few days ago “The fans’ love is also important and I didn’t want to make the mistake that Andriy Shevchenko did and leave as a traitor” lool ouch.
you stupid stupid idiot!! why!
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q87/milanista3/Milan/sheva5.gifi would have loved to see Man U lose solely on C.Ronaldo’s penalty miss. for some reason and i dont know why i was rooting with my heart for Chelsea this game. oh well, Champions League Final in Rome 2009/2010: AC Milan Champions. hooly shit! 2010 is in 2 years, it was just like the millennium was yesterday.
something scary but not too scary news on our Ricky Boy Kaka. Kaka will see a doctor on Friday to decide if he will require surgery on his knee. GOOD NEWS! it will only take him 15 days to recover, he will miss 2 friendly games this month with Brazil, but will make it for the World Cup qualifier in mid June. as long as they send him back to the Milanello in July 100% injury-free im happy.

I was also rooting for Chelsea, not that I like them, just that I hate MU more than I hate Chelsea.
anyway, happy belated bday Gian. I thought most people here are at late 20s or early 30s, I was wrong.

definitely rooting for chelsea and like most people, really wanted to get sheva to come….
what a miss by terry, he’s going to remember that split second when he lost his footing for the rest of his life!
sometimes, i feel sorry for c.ron - the pub i was watching the match in was completely man u dominated. every time he would get the ball, everyone would be screaming at him to do something but each time he would fail or fall (which besides 1 incident yday, was not that way off) - they would heap abuses at him. He is like everyone’s fave whipping boy - the entire crowd (incl the manu supporters) burst out laughing when he missed the penalty - sad, he is their top scorer, is a briiliant footballer, yes he does dive and grand stand but to be constantly reviled by his own fans considering that the team is where they are in a large part due to him - weird!
just posted on the last one about drogba - different opinion there about his diving abilities last night - but more because his contribution besides that was NIL, even negative thanks to the red card!Posted from

moka its easy.
just tell him the owner of his club has spent nearly a billion dollars in the past 2 decades and all he has in return are 3 miserly scudetto’s, all 3 which have asterisk on them.
inter fans have nothing to be proud about. they are fucking monkeys. classless motherfucks who have no class in losing, and no class in winning.

moka there’s a really easy solution. you dont even have to say anything. a picture is worth a thousand words, or in this case 18 international trophies.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q87/milanista3/Milan/milan-inter.jpg
I laugh at any Inter who tries to compare their history with Milan. Maldini alone won more trophies than Inter internationally!!!!

i just hate the arrogance that man utd have (esp. ronaldo and rooney), i really was hoping that chelsea would teach them a lesson, they got so close to it too, but unfortunately … now their bubbles gonna grow even bigger. sure, they’re a really strong team, probably the strongest right now, but, the way they carry themselves just doesnt give the feel of a great team.

Man i really wish that Man U lost on C Rons blotched kick.. i cant stand that arrogant bastard.. i can remember how much i enjoyed ringho putting him in his place last year.. watching the final this year really stung knowing we dont have a chance to be back next year.. i went to the final in athens last year was one of the best expierences of my life… watchin the milan players coming to the curva and clapping to the fans made me so happy! i was only a short distance away from pirlo and co… next year i hope we win the scudetto so that we can shut up the merda blue and i can go to the celebrations in milan..
back to the final.. i really felt that the ref fucked up this match.. i watched the game on rai due and in the post game coverage it showed his mistakes and there were at least 10!! and some happened right in front of him! awarding Man Utd a corner when joe cole was no where near touching the ball.. he robbed chelsea of a penalty also..
I was really hoping for sheva to play in this match.. even tho i hate him for leaving he still holds a place in my heart for all the efferts he put out in a rossonero jersey.. i felt he deserved the call over anelka.. he has been in this place before and could have handled the pressure.. Anyways i guess im done ranting now.. for now.. lol

CRON still blew it in my eyes when the bright lights were shining, but in a few days that will be completely forgotten because they still won.

i was rooting for chelsea all the way and it looked like they had the trophy under wraps after C.RON’S miss but john terry blew his wide and once again he proves to me that he can’t take penalties.

i’m happy utd won as i dislike both teams but chelsea irritate me more. rooney is an overrated player who swears morning, noon, night and day. great example for the kids. for him to say that about kaka is ridiculous and shows his very limited intelligence.
for moka: throw a comeback like this; mafia help for their recent success. (awarded 1 scudetto, got soprano help for other two). also if inter are that good why can’t they do anything in europe? or for that matter why last season did they get hammered 6-2 by roma, whilst roma got roasted 7-1 by man u? strange
say you expect this blindness from a team that worships that criminal materazzi. great defenders like baresi, maldini, thuram and desailly win the ball fairly.

yea he may have still messed up but just like you said they got the trophy anyway so probably all will still be forgotten.. i feel so bad for terry mostly since he slipped… he loved his team.. and i believe that he is the maldini of chelsea… a strong back and a great leader.. mind you i know he comes no where il capitano..

im still pissed that chelsea lost b/c they totally deserved it more than man utd.. i hate both teams (like almost everyone else) but chelsea less..
milan news:
Ancelotti has confirmed that the Rossoneri will buy one of Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto’o, Emmanuel Adebayor or Amauri.
woohoo..

yeah im still upbeat about what D.D did yesterday he let all the poor chelsea fans and manchester haters (me) down.

for the first time in awhile, milan and inter have the same chances of winning the champions league next year.

whoa! i guess i’m the ONLY ONE here who wanted Man U to win yesterday….. oh well

moka- did ancelotti say we will BUY one of those 4 forwards, or did he say we are WANT one of them. cuz i read the latter…
if it’s true, i would pick eto’o (despite his ego issues). i think amauri is as good as juve’s, i dont want adebeyor cuz a certain arsene wenger would get me pissed again with his comments, and drogba… he’s good, really good, but he’s 30!!! plus off the pitch he annoys me, and when he’s on it he sometimes does that too.

Once our boys where knocked out by the Gunners the CL lost a little bit of magic for me anyway but was glad to see a fairly exciting final by two teams from the English Premier League….(of Nations!).
Say what u want about Drogba, i see that alot of peeps have their doubts about him, i still think we will be laughing next season if we land him.
I refer back to Berlo’s comments about big Rons injury where he said;
“We had to deal with the serious injury to Ronaldo and this team was built on having a battering ram like him up front with Alexandre Pato and Kaka in behind creating things.”
I refer back to the damage we inflicted on Napoli when we had Kaka, Pato & R99 playing, i dont think we are far off from doing that all of next season with the right motivation and one or two more deft signings.
Once i read Berlo’s statement, it made me think “Wait a minute! Our management DO actually plan things!!”
Imagine, if instead of Big R99 u had Drogba as that battering ram with Kaka and Pato tearing it up!!

drogba wants to go WHERE EVER mourinho is… and unfortunaely he is therefore more likely to end up at inter

J - i hope yor wrong! Will b guttd 2c both at the merda. Would rather see them with us.

J, I didn’t want Chelski to win. Then again I didn’t want Man Utd to win either…..I pretty much hate them both. Although Essien is badass, probably my favorite player of the two teams.
I think Chelsea making it to the finals + the Rossoneri in Uefa cup would have to end the Drogba->Milan rumors, right?

i would love the fact that DD would join the club but after his antics in the final the other day i have to admit that i am scared now to bring him on.. who is to say that he wont lose his cool like that in a big game for us leaving us a man down during play or a valuable spot kick taker in penalties just as he did with Chelsea..
Btw am i the only one that thinks grant was a moron for snubbing Sheva and putting in Anelka?? Lets also mention the bad move in playing Malouda..
