Choosing Sides

By: Gianfranco | May 27th, 2009

Best of luck to Barcelona this evening…it wasn’t all that long ago that another great haired captain won it all.

Alessio, I don’t think so…Milan are to stingy. I don’t think he will want anything from Milan after the one thing he wanted they didn’t give him.

Hard to feel sunny when it’s been such a rubbish week (the Barca win excluded). And Gourcuff’s news today was the shit at the bottom of the pot (btw is there an antonym to “icing on the cake”?)

Sam, if Milan wanted him and offered a deserving contract, explain to him their need of for service, would he be crazy to play on in Ligue 1?

    Obviously they didn’t do this.

hahaha @ shit at bottom of the pot.. creative ;)

Yea, it’s tragic that Gourcuff is gone baby, gone. The guy had heaps of potential, just couldn’t show it in Milan. I don’t blame the guy; the blame is on Ancelotti to an extent for not seeing the potential of this guy. If someone’s clearly got potential, playing him and giving him as many chances as possible will pay off at the end. Carlo failed to see this, but we all make mistakes.

Tevez? Would love to see him, but realistically, not possible considering how much Milan love to spend, Tevez’s age (25 = too young!), and that he stated he wants to stay in England.

Kaka? Biggest mistake to sell him. Sure, sometimes we need to move on, but Kaka is one of the more ambitious players of the team, a potential captain next season. His motivation will always be there, believe me, and as long as he’s got that (which depends on Milan as a whole), he will rise to the top next year. This season hasn’t been great, but just look back to 06-07. The guy was to Milan, just like how Ronaldo was to Man Utd in 07-08 and just like how Messi was to Barca this year. If Kaka wanted to leave, that’s a different story, but he simply doesn’t, which means a lot.

I think we’re going to see a very different Milan next season: There would be no Carlo, Kaka, and Pirlo … and the game on Dinho’s hand … My only hope? Pato grow up quickly like Messi …

I would wish Carlo good luck (and wish we don’t miss him). Kaka is almost certain for me to be sold (for Money). I wish him good luck too if that really happens …

“The Rossoneri are also expected to reshuffle their medical team, who have been much maligned in recent times.”

by “reshuffle” i hope they mean hang , draw and quarter!

I have a suspicion that maybe Carlo has been selecting the medical staff also!

These times are going to be extremely hard for our club it seems, i just hope like Barca we get a new fresh coach who cleans house and makes a few neccesary and key purchases so we can experience a swift return to the top. but thats way easier said than done. i dont want Kaka and Pirlo to go anywhere but after we gave up on Gourcuff when Seedorf was the one that should have been shown the door I’d be willing to give away the dutch man in a heartbeat; especially if that means a combatant but creative midfielder like Hernanes, Veloso or Melo comes through. money absolutely must be spent this summer!

Samuel, great names there in Veloso, Melo and Hernanes, but unfortunately, Seedorf out definitely doesn’t mean any of those players in. For Milan to make major purchases, it’s gonna have to be Kaka out. Otherwise, don’t expect much. So it’s a trade-off between losing our best player but getting a bunch of new faces, and keeping our best player, but only making small minor changes.

For this change that everyone is hoping for to happen, the whole club policy needs to change. I’m sorry, but there is only so much blame you can put on Ancelotti. All of last summer, he said he wanted, for example, Adebayor. And who do Galliani and Berlu get? Sheva and Dinho, and we all know Sheva was bought just b/c Berlu wants him. And Dinho, same idea. If Ancelotti really wanted him, he would play him much more often. Bottom-line, Ancelotti leaves, and the only thing that might change is the tactics.

i dont blame ancelotti as much as i do berlu and fester…but it certainly seems that they do not listen to him at all and if he doesnt have any command over who comes, then he is never going to be motivated enough which is what we are seeing…hence, he has to go…though karma being a bitch, if we do make it to the cl next year, have a feeling we are going to draw chelsea and he is going to make mincemeat out of us
