Yep..
Is there anyway we can give Borriello a vote of confidence?
Petition for Borriello to be confident.. A ‘We believe in you’ petition?

I’m hoping too.
It will be interesting to see what formation carletto uses. Possibilities:
Flamini Pirlo
Pato Kaka Ronaldinho
Borriello
Gattuso Pirlo
Kaka Ronaldinho
Pato/Inzaghi Borriello
Seedorf will need to play a deeper midfield role and I suspect we will use Pirlo and two dm’s in a five man midfield.

Gian, you are right if Borriello does well it can benefit not only Milan but also the Azzurri which is double the joy. Not another Gila I pray.
While everything else looks good, the back line is still shaky.Last season every time we had a goal lead we conceded a goal and then another and ended up either losing or taking a draw.
Antonini seems good though, I remember when Empoli played Juve last season, he along with Abate and Giovinco put on quite a show winning the game 2-1 or 2-0 can’t remember.Posted from

Nina, your spot on regarding our defence.
I used to watch through my hands as I hid my face from watching our backline decend into chaos a number of times during our last campaign.

We lost in the Coppa game 2-1, but that was with a reserve Juve squad.

Avia, tell me about it.
If it wasn’t for God’s grace, our defense could have easily sent me into a cardiac arrest. And the keeper situation! I’m having nightmares already!Posted from

Alesso, thank you for the correction, I have watched too many games and thought it was serie A lol.
Point is, I liked what I saw that day and hope it wasn’t just a one game performance.Posted from

i think we will be playing a christmas tree formation as standard.
we really only have 3 classic strikers on the books, and only 2 of them can play week in week out.
the starting lineup so far, i wouldnt have any idea although i hope borriello can continue some fire from last season.

Shehan - i mentioned this on the previous post but im pinning my hopes on Boriello turning out to be another Massaro or Marco Simone for us!(We NEED him to be!)
Boriello has more riding on him than Dino imo.
Super Pips should be our Super Sub & Wee Pato should be used in a gentle curve in terms of exposure.
Gutted not see the gradual introduction of Paloschi too!

Nina - ditto the goalie situation!!
I can remember Dida being stretchered away last season EVEN THO HE WAS SITTING ON THE SUBS BENCH LOL!
Like Dino, formerly one of the worlds best and now we’re all counting on him to regain past form (fingers crossed!).

Agreed with Nina and Avia - and it always seemed like the opposition would score just minutes after we would take the lead. Attacking football is lovely, but does nothing if we can’t protect the result.
Actually, I think that’s my biggest problem with the Ronaldinho transfer. I don’t doubt his ability to get his form back if he really wants to, but I will always doubt our need for him. The money could have been spent better and without so much fanfare, Milan’s true needs have not been addressed or filled. Just my opinion.

lol GF, I tried a petition to get Nesta back to the azzurri when Canna got injured.. I got 74 signatures.. LOL!
But I didn’t ‘market’ it all that well..

Borriello turning into Massaro or Simone? Wishful thinking.
Speaking of Poloschi, he is playing quite well with Italy u-19 squad participating in European championship.Posted from

For sure Bonnie, but think about it this way…
The best defense is to attack.. If we can keep attacking and keep them busy up in front, then they can’t attack..

Paloschi has so much potential, which is why I want him loaned out, even though we have striker problems..
