I CANNOT BELIEVE I READ THAT!!!!!
By: Gianfranco | July 23rd, 2007The official AC Milan website read an article today that I refuse to even link to that page. The article question said that Ricky F-IN Kaka was the face of AC Milan…RICKY F**KIN KAKA!!!!!!! Are they stupid, Paolo Maldini is the face of the franchise and that is not even a question. I understand that Il Capitano is a bit up in age but to say that Kaka is the face of the franchise with Gattuso, Pirlo, and even Ambrosini to an extent is shameful to the club and to Italians in general. I am flat out disgusted.
If I was Gattuso I would tell good old Sil and company to shove it. There is no man that I would rather have as face of my club than RINO GATTUSO.

easy there… firstly, what pissed me of more was that the club was referred to as a franchise.. it is not a fuckin franchise its a club…
besides, the whole face of the CLUB thing is not all that far fetched, hear me out first before ya trash your computer in uncontrollable rage eh?
alright if there is a face of the club its paolo maldini, and i really dont need to say much more on that…
still.. once maldini is gone the standard bearers of the club will be gattuso, pirlo, nesta and kaka… but nesta has been the symbol of lazio so he will never really be a symbol of milan in my mind anyway… ambro, unfortunately, has been injured far too often and has not played an important role every year to be considered.. so that leaves gattuso, pirlo and kaka… these three are the faces of milan, who will be THE face of milan when maldini retires, is anyones guess, but until then thats maldini’s throne and gattuso, pirlo and kaka are heirs to that throne…Posted from

Paolo WAS the face. he’s now old. Milan is trying to target the youngin’s with the amazing Kaka. plain and simple marketing is all it is.

What really bugs me is that everyone of Europe’s big clubs pin themselves on a national hero such as John Terry and Chelsea, Wayne Rooney and Man U, Gerrard and Liverpool, Del Piero and Juve, Totti and Roma…you can see my point, why on Earth do Milan have to make their face an import when their is plenty of home grown talent there. Plus the only outspoken thing I have ever heard from Kaka is his love for Jesus.

well we do have maldini, and before that we had baresi.. so i dont think its fair to say that milan doesnt make italians the symbol of the club… and secondly, berlusconi can say all he wants, the players that the fans love the most end up becoming symbols for the team because if anything, its the fans and the media that choose the symbol of clubs.. and drogba and ronaldo are becoming symbols at chelsea and man. united as well..
also, for us we have several symbols of the club at the same time, usually one from attack and one in defence.. baresi, maldini, sheva and van basten have been symbols of this club, and as i mentioned earlier, once maldini retires, gattuso and kaka will be our symbols..

Haha, relax man.. I think the whole purpose of that was to boost Kaka’s confidence and make him even more content to stay at a AC Milan, after continued speculations linking him with Real Madrid.
Maldini is KING, and once Maldini retires, Gattuso should become captain, although someone told me Kaladze is vice-captain. I really think Gattuso would be a good leader.

I cannot believe how ridiculous , Kaka’ is one of the best players ever to have played in Milan and they said that they want him to become a symbol of Milan - meaning (i see that you’re a bit unintelligent so i will explain it to you) meaning that they want him to stay at Milan and end his carrier here, and if he did so i think that nobody could say that he wouldn’t be a symbol of the club. Do you feel ashamed now? I think you do!

Danny I am not unintelligent in this matter, I am just standing up for what I believe is an injustice against the Italian core of the Squad. I do not believe Kaka is one of Milan’s best, not at this point in his career, there are two many stars before him for him to earn that title already.

In fact Kaka would not even crack the top ten of Milan’s best.

are-are you serious? kaka wouldn’t crack the top 10 of milan? I frankly think you are unfit to write this blog then. While he is not the best, he is an AMAZING player, and part of the back-bone of Milan’s offence. Gila barely does anything, Pippo has his moments, and Ronaldo is too slow.

ok ok calm down people… gianfranco is partly right… kaka has not yet done enough to crack the top 10 milan players of all time…. BUT… as danny said.. if kaka were to play for milan for the next 10 years and play like he did, he does have the talent and possibility of owning that top 10… but to reinforce gianfranco’s that point, sheva had the talent and possibility to do that aswell, but he didnt and he wont have legendary status at milan…
all in all, you guys are both right… kaka has a chance to crack the top 10 in the future, but he isnt there yet.. he has to give a few more years to milan to get there.. and its right that he is being groomed to be the next symbol of milan… gianfranco, you dont need to worry, gattuso is already a symbol of milan..

well said k. i thought gianfranco was referring to the top ten of the CURRENT milan team- if he was that would have been some crazy talk! kaka is definitely does not make the all time top ten list- not yet. he has a long way to go but if he continues to improve season after season as he has been doing, wins a lot with milan and finishes his whole career here he will make it i believe!

I´m sorry that a great brazilian genius made u all Italians blush. Let´s face it. He right now is THE BEST player in AC Milan. Forget Rhino who´s job is to push around and scare rival players. Kaka right now is the guy thats making it all happen. Did u not see the Champions? Are u blind?
The only player in Milan who we could compare to Kaka right now is Pirlo due to his shooting and passing skills. But he still falls short in terms of ball handling and techninque when compared to Kaka who is right now ONE OF THE BEST 10 PLAYERS IN THE WORLD.
Who else could we add in that list from Milan??? Not Maldini, Genaro or Pirlo.
Get Real. Kaka IS AC Milan´s face.Posted from

While not top ten yet, he’s definitely got the potential to be high up on that list if he keeps this level for at least the remainder of his contract.
Top ten players in the world, Sam? He is the best, period. However, he’s certainly not the “face of Milan”…not yet anyway…Maldini is by far the symbol of the club till his last game. Age has nothing to do with it…22 years (and counting)…legend…

Ok Rob. Because you said that Kaka was the best in the world that made me happy and I´ll agree that Maldini is Milan´s face (for now anyway) LOL.

1.Milan is the best
2.Any player is used for his post. For example Gattuso is a DM and cant score goals like kaka but the team needs him
3.Paolo was great against Arsenal
