The USA scored sucker-punch goals and made the most of few chances. Players like Donovan and Dempsey embellished and flopped around. The US played defensive football, parking the bus in front of goal. And yet, everyone is going crazy saying they played great. Maybe now, the American/English pundits will see the value in playing a compact game and fighting for a result. And when Italy does so in the future, they will keep their insults to a minimum.
