According to various reports emanating from Italy and Portugal, Milan have found their new striker in Porto’s 21 year old hitman Andre Silva. Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed that the Portuguese phenom is already in Milan and is set to undergo his medical examinations on Monday ahead of signing his contract with the Rossoneri.
The fee is yet to be confirmed, but Sky report that Silva has a €60 million buyout clause, however Porto’s request for the player is around €40 million. That being said, Di Marzio has reported that the player’s agent Jorge Mendes has been working with Porto to lower the transfer fee to somewhere around €30 million.
Milan’s official news agency Milan News has also confirmed reports of Silva’s impending arrival and have suggested that Milan will pay the Portuguese club around €40 million for Silva, with the player set to sign a 5 year contract.
Andre Silva certainly has an impressive resume, and is coming off of a breakout season with the Portuguese giants. Silva struck 21 goals in 44 appearances for the Dragoes, with 5 of those goals coming in 10 Champions League appearances. The young striker has also been prolific for his country, netting an impressive 7 goals in just 8 games for the reigning UEFA Euro Champions.
