One point off of the top three.
That’s where AC Milan lie in the Serie A table after clinging to a point against a determined Fiorentina side. The biggest incident of the match came in the dying moments:
Luiz Adriano came on for Carlos Bacca and stormed the game. After surging past Fiorentina’s defence, he was clumsily brought down inches outside of the box.
That, for those who don’t know, is a red card offence.
Milan will feel that they should have won the game, but the fact remains that they did not and would have lost the match without the immense Gianluigi Donnarumma.
That being said, Carlos Bacca did fluff his lines during his best chance and was left useless during most of the game due to Fiorentina’s stranglehold on the game.
Tonight’s game proved that football is mostly up in the air - it depends more on chance than anything else and whilst some luck did fall on Milan thanks to a penalty miss from Fiorentia’s Ilicic which slammed the upright, the Rossoneri will perhaps be hoping for a sprinkle more next time.
