So here's the question for all of you AC Milan Offside aficionados out there:
Who on this current roster do you actually see being part of a turnaround in the long run?
Let's say the whole process takes 2 years for us to go from midtable abortion/dumpster fire to legit Champions League contender?
(FYI: I could care less about Scudetti)
This is my quick roundup:
Keepers? None. No chance. No way. No how.
Defenders? Abate and Desciglio. Maybe Rami. The rest of these guys are just filler and bad filler at that. Like generic Twinkie filler.
Midfielders? I honestly don't know if there's any. I like Poli, but he seems out of the mix right now. Cristante too. I haven't seen enough of Saponara to commit. I hate Monty. So maybe none?
Forwards? SES for sure. Mario? I'm not totally sold yet. His emotional fragility scares me. I could see him just walking away some day. I could see Pazzini sticking around long term as a 15-20 game a year Pippo-like poacher. The rest of these guys up front are there just to sell shirts.
What say you? Anyone else on this team you see being part of a long term solution? Anyone?
